We have been going to VCA Henderson Pass for decades. When I say that, I was a kid taking our family dog to the location across the street near the elementary school.I wish I could rate this 5 stars because of how awesome the front end staff and vet techs are and the veterinarians like Dr. O Brien over the years but I had an unfortunate and very unpleasant experience today.I took our dog in for unfortunately a chronic infection and instead of given empathy and humility I was disrespected and lectured too. I’ve never been talked to in that way by anyone here and to see Dr. Sara Denk DVM talk to me like that was disappointing. I can’t imagine how she talks to the staff here behind the door. As someone that has worked as a CSM she needs training on how to interact with the patients here or this clinic will lose longtime customers like myself. Please avoid Dr. Denk when scheduling appointments. The rest of the staff are awesome and kind.

Dr. O'Brien and Angie the Vet Tech gave our beloved Yorkie such excellent care today! Angie was so proactive in giving various options on his routine care for parasites like heartworm, fleas and ticks, so we are able to simplify his care routine. Dr. O"Brien always takes the time to connect with us and our Yorkie, and this personal care reinforces the hospital's commitment to their animals' care! Shout-out to all the great staff at Henderson Pass. The Care Club program has proven an excellent value for money.

It's 2023 and this place will only issue paper prescriptions for pet meds. They will not work with companies like Chewy digitally or over the phone. They expect you to come to them anytime you need a renewal or in the event there is an issue with pre-approved refills. Horrible customer service is completely incapable of thinking of their customers first. I would be slightly less outraged with this place had they not seen my pets for a long period of time or if the meds were a controlled substance of some kind. However effectively telling me they won't help me get flea meds refilled over the phone when they already approved them via their approved method previously for a current med and a recent visit is nothing short of infuriating. Do not recommend using this place go somewhere that embraces tech from the last two decades and actually wants to help take care of their customers.

I took my cat in for an emergency visit on a Saturday, and she was given excellent care. She even stayed overnight and I was texted several times to explain the process of her care, how she was doing, and when I could pick her up. This is my new vet!

OUTSTANDING staff and care. I needed a vet to euthanize my 2 year old Great Pyrenees who swallowed an object that caused blockage. She had not eaten or accepted water for 48 hours and was unable to walk. She won the race and died just prior to any injections. The whole team treated an awful situation better than I could have imagined and let my tears flow as needed. I am VERY grateful to the Henderson Pass team.

My wife took my dog today because he was having trouble breathing. Such an amazing vet office. They took such good care of my dog after we had had such a bad experience at another office. They were able to diagnose him and make him feel comfortable. They also made me feel comfortable and that’s a huge relief after feeling the way I was. The other vets options were 2 options that included euthanizing while this vet actually gave me 2 options that could help him instead. Thank you so much for all you did and the peace of mind you gave us.

We have been customers for 3.5 years and like Dr. O' Brien and Dr.Moreno but the front desk staff acts like they would rather just not deal with customers and have zero understanding. Recently, we called and said we are running late for an appointment due to an emergency. They told us if we don't get in within 15 minutes, they would cancel. We rushed and got in and called their phone to let them know we are in the parking lot. A lady called Raven picks up the phone and says you are late by 2 minutes so its considered a walk in and wait time is 4 hours. I walked in the lobby and tried to tell her we rushed and were technically in the parking lot but she said I am sorry there is not much we can do without even looking up. After spending close to 10K and 3.5 years and paying the VCA care payments every month, I am ready to find a new vet office now that Dr.Moreno is retired and the front desk needs to retire!

Dr. Levenberg is the one and only vet I want to take my pets to. I cannot recommend her service enough.I have a senior pitbull lab mix named Pippin. She is 9 years old. Like many people and their pets, Pippin means everything to me. ❤️ through thick and thin, my best friend.Pippin's leg became majorly infected. Deterioration was swift. Within just a few days of the infection, the paw was bad enough that it was almost necrotic. We were looking at amputation, which was the best case scenario. It did not seem like anything was going to work for a while. It was so bad you could see down to the bone, the tendons; all this flesh eaten away. :( Even if there were options, all of the guaranteed options were impossible for us. The price tag more money I would ever see in my life at one time. But this story has a happy ending, 100% due to VCA Henderson Pass.Dr. Levenberg didn't give up on Pippin. We saw her three times a week for months. Operations, cleanings, bandage changes. Every detail. It is only because she was so knowledgeable, such a creative problem solver with iron determination that I was able to keep hope. *** Pippin is only alive because Levenberg is such a talented doctor with so much medical knowledge and such a big heart.*** Without her, I would have lost my best friend, slowly, devastatingly. She spent time and effort on Pippin that exceeded the call of duty. Dr. Levenberg is not a doctor who goes to work, does a good job and that is all; her work is clearly a mission. The vet techs and office staff are also amazing. Pippin is a nervous dog and usually hates going to the vet. She was still resistant at times, but I could see her trust building until she was at ease. That helped me relax hugely. The secretary assistants always greeted Pippin with so much enthusiasm and were so kind to me while I wait. Raven helped me out almost every time, but all the other ladies were wonderful, too. They were prompt and dutiful with payment reminders, and that is appreciated. The office managers Angela and Ricky were kind and helped me understand options. Most people don't take the time. They did.Dr. Levenbergs's vet techs are exactly who you want to hand your dog to: they were patient when she was scared, kind to her throughout, giving her lots of pets and hugs. During procedures, I am told (and ended up seeing firsthand) that they were steadyand calm and knew their stuff. Kayla and Hayley in particular, are two of the most empathetic people in vet medicine I have ever met. There was also and amazing tech named Gallagher who came in on her day off (which you should never expect someone to do) because Pip needed her bandage changed (early on when it was at its worst) and since Dr. Levenberg was in surgery that day, Gallagher was her choice to fill in.I have had dogs for years, including an elderly senior dog before Pippin. I lost her a while back. I wish Dr. Levenberg had treated her too. I don't know if my past pup would have lived (terminal, bursa sacks in her lungs, fluid filled sacks that suffocated her), but her passing would have been easier on her. Here is a picture of my dog with all four legs enjoying life again when 4 months ago, we thought best case scenario is that she would lose one leg, worst case her life.(You can see the scar on her leg. See how it is all healed? 4 months ago, none of that leg was there.)She goes on long walks everyday, likes to play hide and seek, bark at squirrels, and sleeps in a cozy bed every night.Side note: the place itself is super clean. I forgot to mention that. Spending a lot of time there, I watched the staff a lot. They were always wiping down couches and sweeping up, immediate with the cleaning of an accident. They also have a comfortable, approriate goodbye room, which may not sound like a big deal, unless you have ever had to say goodbye. Fortunately, I never had to go inside. ❤️Thank you so muchLauren Revel

Looking to be upsold on "treatment" without having the needs of your pet actually meet? Then this is the vet you've been looking for! Spend an hour and a half, get quoted $550 solution... All for a $70 problem that should have taken just 15 minutes... And bonus, they'll completely ignore the problem you brought your pet in about! But seriously, avoid this place.
