Review for 03/31/2025. Terrible store, terrible employees. Paul (who called himself the store manger) was dismissive, unhelpful and disrespectful.
My uncle passed away about a month ago. I called Verizon customer service, they told me to walk into any store with the final bill, death certificate, and phone and then the line could be disconnected. I visited the Verizon store on University Oaks. The team at University Oaks gave condolences on my uncles passing, swiftly explained the process,and called corporate to disconnect the line. Corporate needed the phone to turn on to deliver a confirmation text. The phone was not charged and we did not have time to wait. So we left and decided to charge the phone at home and come back the next day.
With a charged phone, death certificate, and final bill, my mother and I walked into the Verizon store on Huebner Oaks. One employee was sitting in a chair facing against the front window on his phone and Paul was sitting at the back desk tinkering with a card board box. No one greeted us upon our arrival. We stood in the center of the store for about a min then proceeded to the desk Paul was sitting at. Paul asked what could he help us with, and I explained that my uncle passed away and I had the final bill, death certificate, and phone. Paul immediately told us that we would have to drive to the corporate office at LA Cantera. I responded to Paul and let him know that Verizon customer service told us to walk into any Verizon store. Paul again told us to head up to the corporate store up at LA Cantera. I responded to Paul and let him know the store in University Oaks is not a corporate store and they we able to help us. Paul then responded and said it would take a very long time to contact customer support by phone. I once again responded to Paul and said it only took a few minutes for the other store to connect with customer service. At this point Paul got very dismissive, mind you we are the only customer in the store and we are trying to disconnect a phone from my uncle who just passed away. With a smug face Paul looked at my mother and I and said he would not be able to help us today. At the end of the conversation Paul was confrontational, and made us feel uncomfortable upon us leaving. As we walked out the door Paul and the other employee talked and laughed. This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever encountered. After reading other reviews it seems as if you are not in the store to make a purchase they will not be willing to help you.
After leaving the Huebner Oaks store we drove over to the University Oaks store. Within 10 minutes the line had been disconnected the employees had offered their sincerest condolences 2 times.
I would caution anyone who is connected with Verion from visiting this store. The Verizon store on Univeristy Oaks is just 5 minutes away from the Huebner location and the customer service was superior to the disrespectful service provided by Paul and his team.

Bunch of lazy workers! Been here 2 times in 6 month period and sent away both times because they couldn’t help me, went to another Verizon store 15 minutes away and they helped me and was out of there in less than 10 minutes.
Will not be returning because to these lazy people

They said they don’t charge activation fees for devices they try to upsell you on. Truth is, they are a franchise and they won’t charge an activation fee……but Verizon DOES! Sneaky marketing strategy and not totally upfront.

Truly do not come into this store. The woman working at this store today 4/8 did not know what she was doing, did not want to even pull up my account, wouldn’t get off her phone and was mad that my elderly father who is 80 years old, asked her to please pull up his account to make a payment to which she responded “you’re stressing me out, leave or I’ll call the police.” After reading countless 1 star reviews I’m amazed this store is still operating.

Sat outside and arrived 5 minutes prior to opening. 9:01 still unopened, door locked, and she is there at the register in the dark on her phone. Waited 5 more minutes. Door is still locked.
Had to knock to get her to open the door. Not helpful at all

Christian was incredibly helpful and gave us accurate information to help us get the phone we wanted. He was great to work with and trustworthy.

Want to tell you how great Kyra is, working with customers! Today is my 2nd time in the store, and she has worked with me on both occasions, always fixing the problem & answering all my questions. She's excellent!

Horrible! Came in to pick up equipment from an online home internet order with an online only promo. The associate created a new in store order without telling me what he was doing and gave me a router. Which created a second plan on my bill. I later found out from support that the new order was ineligible for the promo freebies. I later came back to get it fixed. A different associate arrived late at open and claimed they dont do online equipment pick-up orders even though their store is listed online and to call support. I had to call support and be on the phone for 30 minutes to get my issue resolved because the store associates were of 0 help. That's on top of me losing 3+ hours of sleep on a work day from having to visit the store and try to get my promo on the last day before it ends. I will never visit this location again.

They said they would open at 9am, I arrived around 9:30 and then again at 12:30 and they were still closed. I was told to come pick up my phone order the day before, this is unacceptable and a waste of my time to make multiple trips just for this store to be closed.

Been sitting outside this location since 10am to pick up a phone I paid for through Verizon app. It’s now 12:12pm and I have seen numerous customers try to get help and no employee is inside and no posted sign or contact as to why. This is how Verizon is represented. Wow. Neighboring businesses say employee just comes and goes when he wants. Verizon should definitely pull there authorized retailer name from this establishment

DON’T come here. They didn’t even check anything on my account to see if I qualified for the iPhone trade in and I called Verizon and they said I didn’t. I returned my iPhone 15 Pro (which has horrible battery life by the way), as they charged me the restocking fee, even though it was their fault they didn’t check my account.. so I went next door to AT&T and they were able to look and ask me about where I worked and now I’m getting a discount. I might be getting my family to switch over too since it’s cheaper AND AT&T gets better signal here in town. Verizon gets horrible service at the rim area and Leon Valley area.
