Out of town and my child broke his glasses, worked with Summer and she was amazing! Talked to me about options and really worked with me. Showed actual concern for our dilemma and figured out to the best way to help us. Would 100% recommend this location and Summer for eye care needs in San Antonio!

Summer was exceptional!!!! Moms- if you are looking for someone that can help you find a great pair of glasses for you or your teen, Summer should be your go to! She was able to get my 13yo son to decide on a pair of glasses that are perfect in just a few minutes. Her knowledge, patience and customer service deserve 5 stars on their own!!!

My wife and I worked with Alec at this location. He was very knowledgeable, patient and easy to work with. He took the time to run multiple payment scenarios to see which one would be best for our insurance etc. My glasses look and feel great! Thanks again, Alec.

The associates for the optometrist were very helpful. There was very little wait time. The associates at Visionworks were very helpful and understanding and were able to replace my glasses and the wait was minimum

The staff was extremely helpful. They took the time to help me pick out a pair that look best on my face. They recommended the doctor next-door, Dr. Jessica Grimm who was absolutely amazing. Probably one of the best eye exam visit experiences I’ve ever had in my whole entire life and I’m 46 years old. Dr. Grimm was so extremely thorough she is extremely personable took time to talk with me, and as long as vision works continues to partner with her as an eye doctor I will continue all future exams with vision works.

I was going to the Visionworks off Bandera and 1604 for glasses and contacts. The manager at that location is very rude. So I went to Visionworks Alamo Ranch. It is a totally different feel than the Bandera location. Everyone I engaged with was so nice. They asked questions and made recommendations as well as try to offer me every discount available for me. Here I go the digital lens with transition Nike frames, a years worth of bi-weekly multifocal contact for less than a single pair of single vision glasses at Bandera location. Hard to believe these 2 stores have the same name because they are so different. STAY AWAY FROM THE BANDERA LOCATION. Go see Alamo Ranch Visionworks.

I had such a horrible experience as a first time customer, especially with Dr. Nguyen he made me feel so unwanted. He would interrupt me a lot and he would be so rude to me.
When he was shining the light on my eye he would ask me to look forward but the light kept shining into my eye. I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 from my experience other doctors usually instruct me to look at their ear. But Dr. Nguyen would only tell me to look forward in frustration. I would prefer if he would be a little bit more kinder and gave better instructions.
In addition to that I would think that an eye doctor would understand how painful it is especially how bad my eyesight is to see without glasses.
When the procedure was done we was talking to me and I was listening to him with my eyes close I obviously look discomfort because I kept rubbing my eyes. And he sounded offended he said "OH YOU'RE NOT EVEN LISTENING." I'm so sorry if I made him feel like that and I did explain to him my eyes were hurting.
I wanted to tell him more about my history with my vision but he would speak over me alot. In addition to that, he didn't even introduce himself.I had to ask for his name afterwards so unprofessional.
At the beginning of the procedure, I did make a mistake. I knew the brand of contact lenses that I was wearing, but I did not know the type. And so he mentioned that what I wrote there were not designed for astigmatism, and that they were not monthly, that they were weekly. And I was trying to explain myself that I went to Google and I Googled the brand. I wasn't sure what type. I knew the brand, but I wasn't sure the specific type of contact lenses that I wore. And so I was trying to explain to him the mistake that I made, and he just kept interrupting me, making me feel like I've been wearing the incorrect contact lenses this entire time. He was just being so, so rude to me. In addition to that, I wanted to explain to him about my history with eyewear. I've been wearing glasses since I was five. He doesn't even know that I was a premature baby. I obviously was born with complications. And I wanted to tell him that's the reason why my vision is bad. But he just would not let me speak. He would talk so fast. He looked so bothered and annoyed. And he would interrupt me a lot. So at some point I stopped talking because I just felt so unheard and unwanted.
At the end of the appointment, the doctor was talking so fast that I didn't catch the part where he mentioned I could have trial contacts. So I asked him if I could get trial contact lenses, not realizing he had already said that. When I told him this, he responded rudely, saying, "Oh, I already told you. I'm ordering contact trial lenses for you." He could have been more polite about it.
The only person who was kind to me was a girl around my age wearing a black jacket at the front desk. Other than that, the doctor was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. After leaving the room to pay, I asked the lady if I could use the restroom. Once there, I felt so unwell and unwelcome that I cried. The experience with that doctor made me feel horrible, like I wasn't wanted there. I've never had this kind of experience with any other doctors.
I hope I do not come back to this location. I do not wish to come back to this location. I do not want to be assisted by a doctor who makes me feel unwelcomed. The environment there was definitely not a welcoming place for me. I am not satisfied with their service whatsoever. I already spoke to headquarters of VisionWorks about this incident. I really hope his approach changes.

I’ve never had an optometrist this good, my prescription is perfect and the exam was fast and easy. You could tell he is experienced and was very attentive to the exam.
I went next door to get glasses, and it was very easy to find ones I liked, as well as the employees helping me along the way.
When I put my glasses on, I almost cried, I have never been able to see this clearly before. The employees also felt like their day was made due to my reaction ? Words can’t express how much I love these new glasses thank you :)
