Best Walgreens for 78218 area. ATM, Clinic, Pharmacy drive-thru, ample parking space, friendly & knowledgeable staff, full service photo lab, restrooms. Chime reloads are now fee-free (ID required for large dollar amounts), Cash card reloads with a fee (ID required), Western Union with a fee (ID required), Food & drink (cooler, freezer, pantry), Stationary, Paper goods, Beauty supply, Seasonal products, Hygiene product, Toys, Pet supply, First aid, Incontinence, OTC drugs, Lite medical supply, Vitamins, Lite fitness supply, Umbrellas. Recently renovated. Service animals permitted no problem.
I just really love this place. And as a former employee of 3 years I love the staff too, they will always be my cherished friends.

Worse service lately, we’ve been waiting for days for a prescription, and we received wrong medecine. Employees don’t know what’s going on a lot of times!!

I would not recommend this pharmacy. The wife was given a prescription for 2 meds. I went up to the counter and showed them her ID and they said it would be 5-10 minutes. 5 minutes later they handed me a stapled bag and said have a good day. Lucky, I checked the bag as there was only one med. I asked Megan and she said the other one would take 5-10 minutes to make, and she said I could come back tomorrow. I said I have already been here 5-10 minutes why didn't you just fill it. Additionally, the bag was stapled and if I had not opened it, I would not have known until I got home. I explained that if a prescription is not completely filled, they need to tell the customer and not just staple the bag. When I explained this to her, she just looked at me like it was my fault and never apologized. Very poor service and lack or information and directions. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I believe her name was Maria F. Visited on 12/5/23 she was the only lady with a white jacket assuming was in charge. She was very patient and went over and beyond to help me and get to the issue of why our insurance wasn't covering the medicine. She took a out 30 minutes to find out the issue for me speaking with the insurance herself. I was highly impressed with how much she cared it's not normal now days. I have been told in the past simply your insurance doesn't cover your medication and drop it. But she not only found the issue but resolved it for me. Excellent service! Thank you!

This is for pharmacy only. Everyone else I’ve ever encountered here has been really pleasant and helpful. I am stunned at how rude and borderline contemptuous the pharmacy employees are whether on phone or in person. First they didn’t let me know that my prescription wouldn’t be covered by insurance so I was wondering for days as to what was up. I called to investigate and they rudely informed me. Came in in person to try discount card my doc gave me and multiple employees were rude and dismissive.I can’t tell if it’s just a bad atmosphere to work in or what but I’m taking my business elsewhere.

Nicely updated. Sometimes have issues with the pharmacy but they quickly fix them. Last time we went in the drive thru with our dog and they gave us a dog treat! ? so sweet! It's the little things that count. Thank you for making our day!
