Recently pawned a laptop and picked it back up before the due date. Without notifying me or any communication, one of the store reps created a “test” account to gather device details without notifying me & when I received the laptop back, it was not factory reset & had a password locked. Called the store & with very little effort other than “call back” when the responsible store rep was back the next day. Urgently need access to laptop & receiving items back that haven’t been thoroughly processed according to the stores “policies”. Lack of ownership and professionalism.

Normally I would have nothing bad to say about this EZ pawn location, but today was a totally absurd situation.
Walked a mile to this location to sell a few of my cheap rifle scopes I never got around to using and were building up dust in my closet. My car was just totaled and I DoorDash full time so I’m strapped for cash. I just saw a few scopes at this location for sale and figured I’d go try to get a few bucks (obviously not retail or anything close to that).
Walked my ass all the way there(about a mile) with the scopes in their boxes in my backpack. Showed up and was immediately greeted with an odd look and I instantly knew this was going to be about as pleasant as a colonoscopy. I wasn’t wrong… told an employee I had a few cheap riflescopes to sell in my backpack. I pulled them out and the employee was giving me a puzzled look. Kind of gave me the “oh idk” treatment and immediately asked if I had receipts for the scopes.
They were all purchased at different times over the past 3-4 years… he literally told me because they were in the boxes he had to have receipts.
I've attended gunsmithing school, been an executive protection agent, and have worked as an expert witness for a defense attorney, bought/sold hundreds of guns and countless accessories over the years and I have never heard something so asinine in my entire life, even at these no gun expertise pawn shops.
It’s common knowledge that having the original packaging is preferred not only with firearm accessories, but with just about ANYTHING second hand.
Never going to sell/pawn anything at this shop again. I’d rather drive the 1/2 hour to the east side to go to River city pawn (I live on the northwest side about a mile away from EZ pawn) than go to this EZ pawn.

Yesterday the employee Jasmine and some chubby man were very rude and not trying to negotiate at all. Today ashley and the manager helped us and gave us a good deal them two deserve 5 stars!
