“This transmission shop is one of the best ones in the area. Shop employees are really nice and helpful and Mr Silver was professional and quick.
Now lemme start off by saying my transmission had gone out once before and I took it to a shop in Harlingen, they fixed the problem but the transmission wasn't performing to specification. It was losing pressure upon releasing the throttle. I took it back to them and they said it was fine. Well that ended up destroying my torque converter after 3 years, sending metal debris into the trans.
Now I was recommended to Silvas by my Automotive instructor at TSTC and I'm very happy with my transmission now. The car downshifts as intended and holds the gear as intended. I removed the transmission myself from the vehicle and took it to the shop where Silver did his magic and repaired it at a great price. He even let me walk into the shop and see what the damage to internals actually was,(something a lot of shops don't let you do). Overall this is a very honest shop with experienced techs and I highly recommend Silvas.
