“I always go to Ruben's drive-thru. Their customer service is wonderful I always get a smile and the ladies there even though they don't speak English too well there seem to understand me. I've been going here for about 8 years and I love the customer service. Thank You”
“We are first time winter Texans. We are from Hawai'i. A friend at our resort told us about Vera's King of Meats at E. University. We have been coming here since November '23 and the quality, variety and price of meats can't be beat. The customer service is wonderful! We have been telling others in our resort about Vera's. We are freezing some steaks to take north. We'll see you in October!”
“Great place for a variety of meats, chicken and an assortment of spices, chips and more: pork grinds, some veggies, guacamole dip, hot sauce, pops and beer. We went for ox tail to make my Oma's soup!!!Employees helpful and friendly, too! Thanks!Soup already tastes good, but tomorrow it will tastes delish!!!!”
“I was super hungry, I got off to ask if they had food. They said they had asada tacos. It was past lunch time. It took a bit to get them since they made them fresh. I loved the flavor, the beans and salsa were also on point, and also came with a drink. Will definitely be recommending them to my family and friends who live nearby.”
“Bob Starks Beef shop is THE place to buy your meat! Fajitas are tender, the New York strips and T-bones are bursting with flavor and their service is top notch. My only regret is not shopping here sooner.”
“Would have been 5 stars but I stood there for 5 minutes without anyone saying anything to me. They Definitely looked at me but just kept on working. Finally I said something. THE MEAT IS AMAZING, definitely will be back.”
“I go there every time I visit Hidalgo,it's convenient and close to my brother's house and because they have a meat market for our traditional cookouts also hot corn tortillas and basically everything you need for a good grill..”
“Went around and most places selling Fajita at 10.49-11.49 a pound... And here At Rubens it was 7.49 a pound. Well worth the trip around. Since it isn't far from my house I'll be coming here from now on.”

“Favorite quick shop spot close to home.. veggies meat and more. Guacamole and Pico de Gallo dip are the best to snack on while cooking out. Helpful employees and guys at the meat department are quick to help you out.”
“The chicharrón is incredible!! They sell many Mexican things, including different types of tortillas, tostadas, stews, sauces, etc. Maybe the shelves are a little empty but maybe I grabbed them just when they were refilling. Still, the store is very good if what you want is pork rinds with meat or meat in general :D”
“Today I went to Junior's Fresh Market to find something for lunch. They sell tacos and plates of various guisos. Of course, there is the supermarket and a café (which sells pizza), but today's review is limited to my experience with the tacos.I chose tacos of carne guisada. I was offered a choice of flour or corn tortillas. I prefer corn, but the tortillas are smaller than the flour ones. So I ordered three tacos. It turns out, since the corn tortillas are smaller (and the same price as flour) they compensate by using two corn tortillas side by side as one taco. I wish I had known that, because two would have been more than enough. They wrap the tacos individually in foil, and offer the salsa of your choice added in small plastic lidded cups.As they assemble the tacos, they drain the broth from the guiso. I'm guessing the broth is where most of the flavor is, as the meat, while very tender, did not have much flavor. Thank God for the salsa which made up for that.I enjoyed the tacos, but three was too much for me.I also had some delicious fresh squeeze limeade (limonada).Next time I will probably get the plate, because the tortillas got soggy fast as tacos.Overall I enjoyed it and think you will too. Their prices are reasonable, and the service was friendly.”
“I just met a worker named Sandra and she is very beautiful and we had a little chat unfortunately I didn't get her phone number but I will come back to see her and get her number so we can get to know each other more about us. I will return for Sandra. ?”
“The one named Regina took care of me very well. He gave me everything I needed and was very helpful. The best meat market in Del Valle without a doubt. If you go ask for Regina and give her a good tip”
“Few food stores have what the hispanic culture call " Pan de Semita" ( Seed Bread). It was light and very tasty for early coffee or the " La merenda" ( afternoon coffee).”
“La Michoacana is one of those places that you go (even if the cashiers are kind of mean, not well train with customers service) but you go for the fresh produce, meats and Mexican products, they have the best.”
“I recommend the barbecue they sell is very delicious, it doesn't have a bad taste like in other places, for a pound they give you tortillas with red sauce ? that one is not spicy, and the green one and the other red one are... The Menudo should be sold without grains , as far as I know since I come from a municipality of Guananjuato. The Menudo is grain-free, it's very expensive and they sell you more grains than meat. It's assumed that what they sell is the non-grain-free Menudo. From then on, everything else is good. They have their butcher shop that has their promotions on meat...”
