Supposed to be a non kill shelter but refers people with injured strays to kill shelters. The people who came to pick the cat up from us LAUGHED in our face when we asked if they were non kill. Needless to say we didn’t send the cat with them

terrible. don’t recommend supposedly is a “non-kill shelter” but when my family and i called to get a cat in a good safe place and asked specifically if they were a non kill shelter they laughed. Also were carrying a cage that didn’t look comforting for an animal AT ALL.

They are great. They are super good with the animals and when they give you food for your pet it comes with a little bag of treats and toys. And they have a no kill policy

I love that BAPA is a no Kill shelter. The staff cares about the animals and all the cats and dogs get great care. I adopted my dog from BAPA 6 years ago and had a good experience. I have been volunteering for more than 2 years and love it. The shelter has a community food pantry for pet owners in the area that are struggling. They also have an excellent spay/neuter program and offer low cost vaccinations.

I recently began volunteering here. This is a wonderful shelter and they make every effort to give their dogs and cats a good experience. The new cattery is the nicest cat shelter I’ve seen, and the dog kennels are indoor/outdoor which is great. This shelter is always looking for volunteers, and there are so many wonderful pets available for adoption. No government funding is provided, so I’m sure they appreciate donations.

They really know their animals personalities; which, really helps when matching potential pets to current pets. I am a repeat adopter from Bay Area Pet Adoptions because of this and I know they care about animals! Highly recommend!!!☆☆☆☆☆

Called to make an appointment to adopt a cat, was told they weren't taking any more appointments right now. You would think they would want to find homes for their animals but apparently not.

The service was excellent the receptionist was very kind respectful and helpful and the service was even better if you want a good vet in your area that's the place to go I drove from Cleveland to get there

Horrible receptionist with nasty attitude, needs to retake customer service at least twice. How about leaving your issues at the door and put effort into finding homes for these babies. Watch how you speak to others!!!

My family went here to look for another cat after ours passed away. The staff is very friendly and helpful in finding the perfect animal for your household. Make sure you make an appointment before visiting so you know if the animal you're looking at is still available. They will notify you if the animal you are considering has been adopted already.
