Food is always great, Nostalgic atmosphere, love it. Love the stuffed jalapeños. People who work there are always polite. One of my favorite places .

The Salvation sandwich is my favorite. This place always serves up good quality food and food service. It is within walking distance to the San Marcos River and Texas State University.

I’ve loved this place for 10 years. Recently, they’re decreasing the meat and increasing the prices :( Delicious as ever, but $19 lunch for one person and barely any meat on the sandwich is wild.

What happened to the bread?! It was thin and overcooked. My jaw hurt to eat it! It used to be thick and buttery soft but it was nothing like it used to be. It's been years since coming here, I wouldn't go back.

The salvation is to die for. And the flour-less chocolate cake, one slice is just not enough. Don't forget to try their lemon bars.Parking: Not enough parking.

An old school cool college sandwich joint. The place is decorated in a rather punk or indie college rock way. The sandwiches are great, come check out this San Marcos staple when you’re visiting town.

We just went to Alvin Ords for the first time and it did not disappoint. Staff was super friendly and the sandwiches were amazing! I don't know what kind of bread they're using but the bread is on point!

Really good sandwiches and good prices, but it's kind of scary to go into because the dining area almost always looks old or closed. It has country diner feels but with graffiti on the walls. I recommend that they don't put all the chairs on the table until they're fully closed, so that anyone who doesn't usually go there doesn't take one look and think it's closed. Otherwise really good food.

What a charming spot in this city! You walk into what feels like a cool relative's home, to employees having fun doing what they do best: making bomb sandwiches. The Salvation is my recommendation, as it had a flavorful toasted French bread with a perfect crunch. The sandwiches are phenomenal, with flavor explosions and balanced ingredients. No need to take out the tomato on this one yall, eat it all and enjoy!!!
