Dealer told me my brakes (at 100,000 miles) were worn and probably should be replaced. Not wanting to pay dealer prices, I went to Champion. Young man told me I didn't need new brakes. I thought that was very honest. I'll go back!

My car had an oil leak from the oil pan. Lucas replaced it very quick. Great customer service and all employees were kind and helpful. Cost was a good price.

The mechanics here will take care of you! They won’t talk down to you if you’re a woman and they won’t overcharge you.

James, at Champion, did a great job in addressing my tire problem. Unfortunately I had to get a new tire.

Awesome experience with my mustang GT. James and Lucas were great in doing my suspension work. I added a steeda sway bar kit and it ended up great. Even setting my appointment with blue, their receptionist was seamless from the get go. It's not often all the staff at a repair shop are so friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend

Wouldn't bring our car anywhere else. . Brought a Toyota corolla in for a head gasket. James took the time to chk for cracks in the block , there were three. Saved us thousands. Bought another Toyota corolla to him for inspection. Usually they try to find something wrong to charge you for. ...nit a cent..car was in perfect condition and he was honest enough to say so.not many family run businesses like this anymoreThanks James and Blue

We will never take our car anywhere else. Helpful and honest. We took an old corolla in and he did sooo much work on it but didn't charge because he took the time to find some cracks in block. Just took our new (to us) corolla for an inspection. Didn't try to upsell us anything. Said the car was perfect Not many family run businesses like this one anymoreThank you for making a tough time easy...and thanks James and Blue!

Champion automotive is the best in San Marcos period. I can see exactly why there is at least a week to get your car serviced. On April 24 my car was broken into. So I was able to tow it to champion automotive and they had fixed my car the next day. Despite having a week long wait. Blue and Lucas were nice enough to fix my car. Thank you

Well I sincerely wanted to give this company 5 stars, very friendly, got me in quick....but....Friday morning my car overheated on the way to work, I called this place and they said bring it in. They had it all day and found out the thermostat was bad, ok so I have to spend 370.00 to get it "fixed", no worries..I paid it and drove home, very happy my car was "fixed". Didn't drive over the weekend...Tuesday morning my car overheats again. The owner came looked at in a parking lot, couldn't fix it there, so I barely made it to his shop, Again left it there....called at 5pm telling me it was ready. Another 330.00 and said it was fixed. I didn't even get home and it overheated again. Now I just talked to the scumbag their owner and it just tried to spin doctor it back on me, and then just said "I'm sorry we couldn't work anything out". When I challenged him about the service,, pouring a can of sealant into the radiator for 330, then he was charging me for when he came and looked at it, (he failed to mention any road fee) and letting it run for an hour.. ..all for the bargain price 330.00. He wanted me to bring it back to him !!??...why !!!??? He just ripped me off for 330.00 for absolutely doing nothing to "fix" my car. They seem like "honest country folk" ..thieves. Don't let the good ole boys reviews fool you .Stay away from scumbag so called mechanics that can't fix the issue, but will steal you hard earned money. So if you like getting lied to, have someone say they're a mechanic but can't fix the issue and paying them for it, they this is your place. This is what attorneys on retainer are for !

My car was experiencing some strange issues especially after picking it up from the body shop and I couldn’t figure out why. James took the time out of his day twice to help me figure out what was going on and fixed the problem for me while detailing everything that was going on. He was super professional and kind, while still being very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend coming here because they’re honest and good at what they do! Thank you again, I definitely know where I’m going for future repairs!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

HONEST, INTEGRITY, QUALITY all of the be above from this shop!!! If I could give this shop 10 stars I would, we came from a horrible experience at Lambs Automotive in Buda to this shop. They are reliable and saved me from a 12,000.00 unnecessary repair the other shop had quoted me. Ask for Lucas Collier, he’s your man if you are looking for a truly genuine repair man. We can’t THANKYOU enough and will be sending all our business your way and sharing your shop with everyone. Please read below what I had to post as a review on the other shop because this is why we love Champion. The whole staff there is wonderful. Thankyou Lucas and team again!!This is the Review about the other shop Lambs Auto in Buda*WARNING* First time bringing my car in here since it changed from McSpaddens to Lambs and wow I am SUPER disappointed. I brought my car in due to a gas smell it was giving- and for them to do a diagnostic test to see what may be the issue. Mind you my car has never over heated or my check engine light was never on. They called me after running a couple tests saying I had two options because they believed I had a broken head gasket. They said I needed a brand new motor For 12,000.00 or they were going to need to replace head gasket and surrounding parts for around 6,5000.00. I know nothing about cars so I call my husband in a panic. Thank God for my husband knowing things about cars. It just didn't seem possible my car needed all that work. So we took it from Lambs and found another shop recommended by some friends. Champion Auto Repair in San Marcos. HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking your car there instead. They are honest, experienced and do quality work. Ask for Lucas Collier, was so impressed with him. They ran all the tests and found NO broken head gasket! Turns out my jeep just needed a little tune up ( new spark plus etc) and more importantly IF my head gaskets needed replacing ,as Lambs had said, this new shop quoted us 2800.00 for the EXACT same repair. Doing research we found Lambs was BEYOND over charging us and charging us for repairs that weren't even needed!! feel pretty taken advantage of, and would still be trying to figure out a way to take a loan out to be able to pay for a repair at Lambs that was never even needed. Definitely won't be trusting this shop. Lesson learned 1. Always do research on cost of parts and 2. Always get a second opinion.*Also noticed that all the five star reviews are actually from the previous ownership which was McSpaddens. So do your research.Services: Transmission
