Five Mile Dam Park is a pleasant area that offers a variety of outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy a mile-long walk along well-maintained, manicured paths, with the park being kept relatively clean. The river running through the back provides a relaxing spot for families and dogs, who must be kept on a leash, to enjoy the natural scenery. The park features a soccer program with some of the best fields in the area, making it popular for sports. Picnic areas are available but are separate from the soccer fields. The dam itself is scenic and fun to climb on, with a lookout platform offering good views, even when the basin is dry. Restrooms are not always open, but portable toilets are provided. Although the park could benefit from better upkeep, it offers a nice mix of neighborhood park and natural area. Overall, it’s a good spot for walking, sports, and relaxing with family and pets.
I love this place one of my favorite areas. The place is dried out. But makes for a nice spot to just go be by yourself. There is also a park and an open field. With a walking track.
