After a very stressful week, I found myself (at the last minute) looking for a particular style of earrings for my girlfriend’s Christmas present that she had picked out at Costco. Naturally, they sold their last pair right before I arrived per the rep there. I drove to the Kyle Costco location, and they didn’t have what I was looking for either. I went to Jared’s and once again, no luck. Sitting in the parking lot, I tried calling the Kay’s location in Selma and couldn’t get anyone to pickup after 4-5 attempts. I was desperate and prepared to drive an hour to get there before they closed. Then my luck changed when Gen at the San Marcos outlet location answered the phone. She said she’d reach out to the Selma store with the item # I provided her. She called me back in minutes to let me know that she got through to them, and the two they had (in-stock online), had sold today saving me two hours of driving. Gen emailed me photos of the closest earrings they had and they were absolutely perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. I arrived and she had already pulled them for me. I was sold on the earrings, and maybe more importantly, the customer service she provided. I can’t remember a time when I felt so well taken care of. Gen’s a shining star and brightened my day. I kinda feel like she saved Christmas for me. Truly exceptional. Thanks Gen! This will be my first stop next time.

Recently I’ve been looking for something for my 20th wedding anniversary, I visited several stores in Austin and San Marcos. The customer service that I received at Kay’s was awesome. Gen went above and beyond to help me while in the store and even after when I was shopping online. It’s very hard to find this type of customer service in todays retail atmosphere, that’s why I drove over an hour to this location instead of purchasing something from a store that is 15 minutes away.Go see Gen, she’s knowledgeable and has the best professional attitude!

I took a ring to be repaired in February. I was told that it would be ready in 2 weeks. Thinking that they would inform me that the ring was ready, I waited. Weeks turned into months, no update. I finally called in June and they person who answered said “Yeah, it’s been sitting here since March.” No apology, not even the slightest acknowledgement of their failure to inform me. Upon picking it up, the ring wasn’t even cleaned or polished, not even an attempt to make it look like it hadn’t just come back from a workshop in the back. Very disappointed the entire overall experience. If you have any other option, don’t go to this Kay’s location.

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING AT ANY KAY STORE EVER!!!! We bought a $6000 ring and have had nothing but problems with it! The first ring we bought had 5 diamonds fall out before they decided to replace it for us. Then less than a month after getting the brand new ring back another diamond fell out!! And to make matters worse they refuse to refund us our money!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

Kay has terrible workmanship. My wife's ring loses a diamond every month and we have to bring it in for service. Each time my wife has to go 2 weeks without a wedding ring. This particular store closes whenever they feel like so do not go by their posted hours.

I went to the outlet to have the prong on my wedding ring fixed. When I got it back, the stone was loose so the lady said she would send it back to be serviced and fix the prongs on all 4 corners. After waiting almost a month, I went to pick up my ring and it looked great. When I got home I noticed it didn't fit like it used to. I looked at it closely and noticed the bottom of the ring had been reshaped. I did not ask for my ring to be resized! Now it doesn't fit!! I don't know if the service company did this intentionally or on accident, but it's not okay. No where on the report did it say to adjust the band. Words can't express how upset I am. I will see about getting it fixed, but I will never take it back to nor buy anything from Kay.

I just want to start by saying how disappointed I am with some of the reviews I read. I love this location. Me and my husband have always had great customer service. I want to give a shout out to Janet the store manager at the San Marcos location. I think she saw the nervousness of an employee in training handeling my ring and she came over and assured me she would double check the work before it was sent off for fixing. I didn't ask to speak to a manager or gave any complaint. She assessed the situation and made the effort to come put us at ease. That's a great manager. Thank you, Janet.

Came in to have my ring cleaned. The guy that was helping me did not seem like he wanted to be there. As he was inspecting my ring I asked him where the eternity rings were. He said "we don't have those" well I had stumbled upon what I was looking for. I said "are these not the eternity rings" and he states snotty "those are anniversary bands". Well SORRY Mr. Rude pants. The gal who was working close explained the difference. I then asked if they sold a particular one in white gold that was displayed as rose gold. He says yeah its right next to it. Oh ok buddy. The one that is twice the price. I just thought it was rude of him and will not be back to that store ever. Especially to buy a $1200 ring. Maybe you should be a little nicer to your customers. Especially ones who are looking to upgrade to two new bands.

Yesterday added two new pieces to my collection. The service here is always amazing always great deals and I never feel pressured to buy something. I am a s***** for a great deal. I've just always been drawn to deals thanks to my mom. This kays is always my favorite, I have another one closer to my house but I rather not go because the service is not that great, and spending that much money I want to love the place.
