Great people if you're willing to work with them and polite. If you're rude you get what is expected. Be nice

This is for the PHARMACY at this location in San Marcos. The actual store, I have used and have not had a problem. First off, I’ve been a customer of Walgreens pharmacy for YEARS. Second, I understand and have worked with filling outpatient prescriptions for YEARS at multiple locations all over the U.S. I’ve probably worked in healthcare longer than whoever answered the phone has been alive. This Walgreens Pharmacy has been nothing but problems since we began using them. They do not fill prescriptions timely (and yes, easy to fill common prescriptions) and changed their hours where it is not convenient for students who work to fill prescriptions here. The app is convenient, but only to tell you they are behind. They will fill what is needed IF you call and can get through the automated process, but a provider and a patient should not have to call multiple times to get the prescriptions filled. Attitude? Mine? After the 5th call and lack of service for previous prescriptions? I think it’s allowed and thank you for noticing that I am IRRITATED with your service at THIS location. I understand you are busy, but your busy cannot possibly equal mine and you are providing ME a service. NOT the other way around. I will be calling the main number as well. You are in the business of helping ill individuals and to be compassionate. Go beyond to fulfill a need of the vulnerable. Do not act rude on a call to a paying customer (with good insurance) because they are calling out your poor service by speaking truth. It was not because I had attitude, it was because you were acting as though I was a problem for holding you accountable for a service you are to provide. All I asked for was a time and said I would be transferring the prescriptions if it could not be fulfilled today. I’d love a follow up call from a manager.

The clerk at the pharmacy was rude and had zero customer service skills today 10/27/2024 at 11:40 am. Wanted to get immunization for 3 of us and she was more worried about going to lunch the helping us. She said come back at 2pm. I guess going to lunch is priority over the health of your customers. Nothing wrong with taking your lunch a couple of minutes late and coming back a few minutes late. Does the management require set lunch times for the whole staff? Seems like a bad idea for a business to do.

Called ahead to make sure my prescription was ready to go. The woman on the phone said it would be filled about an hour before closing. I come in 15 minutes before the pharmacy closes and they did not have it filled. The woman said to wait and it should be filled in 5 minutes. Closing time comes and the pharmacist tells me I will have to come back tomorrow. I don’t appreciate them wasting my time.

I've used Walgreens as a pharmacy for years and it only seems to get worse. Today I dropped off a prescription at 10am, they said it would be ready at noon. I get there at noon, it's not ready, and they say it'll be ready at 3. I get there at 4:30, still not ready. They say it'll be ready in an hour. I tell them I'm going to the gym nearby and that I'll come get them after I'm done. 2.5 hours later I show up, still not ready. It's now 7:30pm, and I've been 3 separate times. They tell me they're waiting on just 1 of 3 prescriptions and that it will take a few minutes, so I sit and wait. After 10-15 minutes, they inform me that "the dosage on the paper isn't clear enough to read" so they tell me they'll "try" to call the psychiatrist tomorrow. I politely tell them that I have been there 3 times already today, and ask why they couldn't have told me that way earlier. No response. When I ask what time or if the medication will even be ready tomorrow, no response. Needless to say I'm switching to a different pharmacy.

I called in a prescription a week ago to get it refilled. I stopped by yesterday and was told that it still wasn't ready but I could wait 25 minutes for it. when I called it in, the recording said that I would be contacted if my prescriptions were not ready for pick up when promised. That did not happen. I said I would come back the next day. I went today and still no prescription filled. I asked why and was told that they just "hadn't gotten to it." You shouldn't have to wait a week for a prescription. Especially with no call or other information from the pharmacy to tell you that your prescription is delayed. Do not go here. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions somewhere else.

Went to Walgreens to have a couple photos printed. Did not have to wait long for the order. The prices are reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This walgreens is the has most unprofessional pharmacy that I have ever encountered. I went to go pick up my birth control prescription (which normally includes three months worth of product) yet there was only one month worth of product when I later opened the box at my house. I called and asked why I was given only one month worth of product and I was simply told that they gave me a partial refill and that I needed to come back on a later day to receive the rest. I thought all of this was weird because on my box it said that I was given three months worth of product but I most definitely did not. When I called a week Later I was told by a very rude lady that they gave me the full prescription. I told her that they definitely did not and she got into a full on screaming match with me. She told me that she checked the camera footage and the pharmacist looked at the box (DIDNT OPEN THE BOX) and confirmed that my full prescription was in it. I asked how they could possibly know that my full prescription was in the box if they didn't open it and she just kept repeating "we gave you the full prescription" so now I probably will have to pay out of pocket because of their negligence to confirm they are actually giving out what they say they are. Thinking about contacting my insurance about fraud because they are charging for product that they are not giving out!!!!!

Went in to get my blood pressure taken for an appointment I was about to have. They needed my BP taken in advance. It was quick and easy, however I asked for the pharmacist to put it in writing for me to show to my doctor and he couldn't do that for me? So that was pretty much useless. Anyways, I was pretty frustrated. But I also needed to buy a couple things. Got up to the register and Paula changed the whole experience. She was so friendly and personable, totally brightened the mood and truly made going to Walgreens worth it. Give it up for Paula. SHE gets five stars.

The staff here is nice and clearly they work hard, unfortunately the pharmacy staff is so overworked the service is terrible. I sat in the drive through line for nearly an hour today before even getting to the window. And there were only 4 cars ahead of me. And you know if the staff is overworked like this, they're definitely underpaid too. I wish I could support them because it's clearly managements fault, but for my time and my morals I'm going to have to take my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.
