Very lively and energetic. From what I remember -I would get there. Go to the "sanctuary" building. Soon as food opens your in a dining area where you'll be offered a chance at drinking coffee and eating pastries before service. There's also juice cups for kids. They have this event/fundraiser called "rodeo for Jesus". Ask the pastor about it if curious. You go to the Sunday service where there's singing, talking about the Bible and a sermon. ( Order of those events unknown. Singing repeats. ) Afterwards if your a young adult you can go to the youth group. They have a little playground for kids.A nursery area for changing diapers and taking care of babies/toddlers. Plus other areas.Thank you and hope this helped. Try googling it and call the number Google gives you. The pastor would know a lot more.

Westover is an amazing church. I have attended for around 20 years. From the first time I started attending, I felt welcome. The people are loving and friendly. My children and I have attended since that first visit. It may be small by some standards but it's works are giant! We support missions around the world and within our community. Westover is a Bible-teaching, Bible-preaching church, so be ready to be fed spiritually, because Pastor Jeff preaches from the Bible. If you are looking for a church family then Westover is where you want to be.Sun. 9:30 am - Donuts and Coffee9:45 am - Sunday School10:45 am - Sunday Morning Service6:00 pm - Sunday Evening Service, children and youth activitiesTues. 6:00 pm - Rodeo 4 Jesus (a Westover Ministry) at Pastor Jeff's Ranch, 6880 FM 621, Martindale, TxWed. 6:00 pm - Dinner - Home cooked meals! As a minister and pastor in San Marcos for 20 years+. You are all invited to join us at Westover. I graduated from Texas State and we love San Marcos folks and our surrounding communities. We have served the hill country communities to the best of our ability without bias by the calling of the Lord Jesus Christ. The word of God is taught here and it is not Cherry picked. Come worship the king of kings with us!

I've been going to church here for almost 3 years. I recently joined the church "officially". It's a nice mixture of age groups and backgrounds. Not true to the average "Baptist" ways; there are very welcoming and only one or two people are snooty. Ignore the bad, enjoy the good, and fellowship the way God intended.Update 2021(about 4 years later): things have changed. If you aren't well read in scripture get ready for a great show. If you are, you'll notice real quick what's up.

Westover? More like Westboro. Homophobic rant for the Thanksgiving service?! Sure glad I left my Mexican wife a home...sermon could have taken a turn. Maybe I'd recommend this church to all the fake Christians living with a heart full of hate and judgement. Go with God, I guess. If you take issue with this review, try opening your heart by opening your bible to the verses below...the messages below would have definitely made a better THANKSGIVING service. Luke 6:37-42 Romans 12:16-18 Matthew 7:1-5 John 8:1-8 Luke 6:31-36 James 4:11-12 Romans 2:1-3 Romans 14:1-13 Ephesians 4:29 Matthew 7:12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One star for the decent parking.
