BEWARE OF PRICE GOUGING AND OVERCHARGING… CHECK YOUR ITEM PRICES BEFORE PAYING!!!I chose a tart baking pan to purchase, but noticed that most pans had two price tags. One tag said 34.95 with its barcode blacked out with a sharpie. The other price tag said $39.95 with a legible barcode. There was also a 40% off sign posted. I selected one pan that happened to only have a $34.95 tag, and went to check out. The cashier looked at the blacked out barcode and through an earpiece requested a price check. She didn’t verbalize her answer, then manually entered $39.95 into the register without telling me. Before paying I asked her to please verify the pan’s price. She looked at the register and said, “ The pan’s original price was $39.95, plus a 40% discount.” I said there was a lower price of $34.95 on that same pan, so why am I not charged the lowest price? She didn’t explain, but she immediately re-rang the sale using $34.95. No apology, just a snitty attitude while I completed my card transaction.I’m pretty ticked because had I not stopped, verified, and questioned the cashier, she would have merrily overcharged me for no good reason. I find the cashier’s actions unethical and predatory. I can only assume that a company that prices twice on their products, then allows their cashiers to quietly enter higher prices in the registers is breaking consumer laws. Why on earth are there TWO DIFFERENT PRICES on Williams Sonoma Outlet products in the first place??

There was a lot of inventory but it was hard to sift through it all and there weren't many workers around to help when we had questions (we were shopping for a head board). I will say the selection of large couches was amazing. If I had been shopping for a couch, I probably would've bought it.

When I say they went above and beyond I truly mean it. My son was very passionate about which school backpack he wanted and when it finally arrived they put it on hold for us and even let him choose one he wanted fresh out of the box. Even something so small completely made his day :)

Omg, this place is huge! This is the first WS outlet I've been to and the sale items were worth it. It's a Pottery Barn and PB Kids and WS all-in-one store. Lots of furniture and dishes.

Do you love paying retail prices for busted furniture? If so, then come to the Pottery Barn Outlet store. Now you might be thinking, "haters gotta hate," but believe me that's not the case. With few exceptions, the Pottery Barn outlet is where you can find damaged and rejected Pottery Barn goods for UP TO*** 50% off! "Why the triple asterisk?", you ask? It's because the "up-to" is beyond misleading. There's probably the start of a federal consumer action in their pricing. "Up to*** 50% off" may seem like a discount until you realize that with a good sale, you can actually do better, getting new, un-damaged goods from the retail store or website. Now I'm not going to say that there are no deals to be had. Outdoor furniture, bedding, and rugs are typically marked down quite a bit but the rest of the namesake furniture itself is ridiculous because they're based on the retail prices of the furniture without regards to how crazily damaged they are. On our last walk through the store I was embarrassed for them, wondering who is going to buy these busted up pieces. Were they heavily marked down? NOPE! Maybe all the good stuff gets sold early but why even try to sell some of these items. The worst insult of my trust is they send out mailers with messages like "Let us do the shopping for you!" as if you can join a priority queue but in reality, an employee confessed that while they may write your name down -- you have zero chance of getting what you want. If there was truth in advertising, they'd call this a Pottery Barn x Salvation Army collab which to be honest is unfair to Salvation Army. Also, yes. This post is meant to be a bit of a public shaming.

Went in to find a new rocker/chair (baby due in a few weeks). The chair I picked out had the original price written on it, with a sticker of the new price. I asked the man on the floor about the 40% promo they had going. He confirmed that yes it was an additional 40% the marked tag, unless it was some random pieces, but they would be marked "no additional discount". This particular chair did not have that written on it, so I took it up to the register to buy. The lady checking us out again reconfirmed that it was 40% off the new marked price. She rang us up, and again the GM Liz also confirmed everything. After an hour of being in the store and checking out, we were on our way to get a different vehicle to pick up the chair. Here is where I have an issue... as we were half way to our vehicle, walking in the parking lot, the 2 workers chased us down and told us we had to come back because they didn't charge us enough. They said the discount was not for the marked sticker, but the original price. I told them that we had confirmed on 3 different occasions, and the fact that we had already paid and were walking outside to our car, only to be chased down, was some of the worst customer service I had ever received. I have been a long time customer of pottery barn, and unless this situation is rectified by corporate, I will never step foot in a pottery barn again. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I have a soft spot for this store. I love Williams Sonoma, which is a part of the Pottery Barn portfolio. The store is arranged very well, clean, and has fantastic merchandise at a great discount. I bought many of my all-clad copper-core line frying pans here and high-end food items (e.g., jacobsen salt). I am always intrigued by their house-brand items, which are marked up so high that I choke every time I buy them. WS sources amazing food items from the world. They slap the Williams sonoma label and market them as their own..for a hefty price and for the love of God I have little success in finding who the real manufacturers are. Their very berry pancake and waffle mix is out of this world, but their sticker price is 25$ (outlet was 15 which is a bargain). Nothing that I have tried (tried 4 brands from whole foods, 4 brands from central market, 4-6 brands from world market and TJ Maxx) comes anywhere close to what these guys sell. This is an example but is generally true when it comes to food items sold at WS. They are amazing. You have no idea where they got it from and they mark up 2-3X the price of what these brands sell at and you have no choice but to buy them. At least I can pick up items in the store at 30-40% discount during their frequent sales. Overall, the store has a huge selection beyond food including electrics, kitchenware, and furniture. If you did hard enough in the clearance section, you can oftentimes encounter great bargains upwards of 80% off.

This store can be dangerous in a good way. You have to approach it as a huge garage sell. Some of the things look kind of junky but there are hidden gems in this store that make it all worth it. For example I was looking for a new leather couch, I had my eye on the turner couch. In store and on line the couch is 3100.00. I called up pottery barn and asked if they had any, and they did. It was 2099 and then 50% off of that. Next thing I know I am loading up a couch. This couch is perfect condition and one of their top sellers. I also spotted a round storage ottoman, it said on the ticket extra 20% off as well as the store promotion that day for 60% off. Long story short the ottoman would have come out to about 140.00. I mean mind blown. Pottery barn is know for quality and while a lot of the store looks run down( furniture section) you can find some good stuff and good deals. Now on a side note, it was hot in there and it was hard to find a person quickly who worked there.

It took 5 people to tell me that they couldn't find a price tag so guess we will charge you the closest thing we can find to it online which was about $300 more than what any sane person would pay. It also had no box, parts missing and is sitting at an outlet where retired/returned things go to die, so why not make an executive decision to sell to a customer, and earn their patronage. Laziest staff I've ever witnessed. And it wasted 45 minutes of time...walked away empty handed.

The prices are cheaper, yes. But the quality of the products is not good and still very overpriced
