Aunt M's Illustrated Inn is an amazing and unique bed and breakfast in San Saba, Texas. The entire historical home is beautifully painted with wonderful, fabulous artwork and scenes by the owner herself, creating a truly one-of-a-kind, magical, and memorable atmosphere. Each room is clean, comfortable, cute, and uniquely themed, with soft sheets and comfortable beds. The homemade breakfast is delicious, amazing, and highly recommended, with great coffee and different, delicious options each day. The dining room is spectacular. The owner is wonderful, sweet, and an excellent cook, offering a lot of information about the area's beautiful rich history and many must-see places. The Inn provides a very quiet, peaceful, and tranquil experience, perfect for a getaway to forget about daily life. It is a great place for a weekend to get lost in San Saba, with close walking distance to the historical downtown square, good restaurants, the trendy Pecan Grill, Wedding Oak Winery, and the San Saba Olive Oil Co. It is a beautiful, comfortable, and well-taken-care-of home, ideal for a perfect Christmas getaway or a springtime visit to the beautiful Texas hill country. Guests will not regret their decision to stay.
This was such a beautiful stay, every room is themed and has hand painted murals, absolutely stunning.

Rolled into town in a group of 4 with no real plan of where we were gonna stay. So glad we called Mae and got a room at the illustrated inn. Highly recommend!

My mother stayed here and I got to take a tour. I'd like to tell you, the rooms are illustrated. The rooms are comfortable and lovely. The feeling of walking back in time for just a moment with modern amenities. So if you make it over here to San Saba, Texas, come stay here. You'll see what I mean.
