Stockard's Mercantile LLC is a charming and unique store, a great tourist spot and a treasure for the community. It is a wonderful little shop with a large assortment of fairly priced items, including knick knacks, gifts, stylish clothes, home goods, jewelry, and original artwork by local artists. The business offers great coffee, fabulous mocha lattes, and yummy breakfast burritos. The atmosphere is super welcoming, relaxing, and smells great. The staff is friendly and wonderful, providing great service. This family-owned mercantile is a carefully curated boutique with high quality finds, full of history and a fantastic place to shop for Christmas presents or any time.
Stopped by on July 25th 2026 to have some coffee and do some shopping. While there met a customer named Fransisco Garcia he was so informative and friendly, nearly seemed like I knew him forever. Excellent breakfast sandwiches served until 10a. Great coffee, including pour overs. While waiting for the sandwich, we found some lovely locally made skincare products too. Everyone we met was super sweet, highly recommend this stop for road weary travelers.

This place is a gem! Beautifully restored former opera house and one-time brothel, Stockard’s did us road-trippers right. Coffee and homemade treats were delicious, and the owners were kind and cool. We’ll be back!
