Food was ok. Service was fast. There is no ambiance - it's literally a gas station that is very run down at that. The food was subpar.

Well, we USE to make this our Chinese food go to place. But as of 08/19/22... uhhh they closed? Indefinitely? Dang it. We have never had a bad meal ever, and we've tried almost everything on the menu. Sorry to see it go if it closes. Need another place in Rittiman, Walzem, Austin Hwy to Broadway. Prefer inside 410. Any suggestions

This was your classic disappointment on a styrofoam plate! On a couple of FB boards this place was hyped up as outstanding & go to spot for under the radar type of restaurant. I remember coming to get food here like 5 years ago & not being impressed but I thought how could I been so wrong about this place only to realize why I never went back. It wasn't memorable then or now. It sucks because I work a court of blocks away & I so wanted to be wrong about my experience. First, let me say the owners are sweet & they do serve rather fast. They have an extensive menu. I will tell you I went on back to back days. On one day I couldn't eat my food right away & that was a mistake. Their food doesn't stand up to reheating. I loved the lunch special prices & the food portions but food quality & texture like I mentioned don't stand up to reheating. Food taste & color was off. Orange chicken looked red not orange & not sticky. Their plain fried rice is spot on when they say plain. Just a couple of lonely vegetables hanging out in a clumpy mound on the corner of the box. I guess you can technically call what I had as crab rangoon but I got like a small dab of that imitation crab imitating & masquerading as crab rangoon. I'd give them one more chance just because I'm impressed by that huge menu for such a small corner of convenience store. That eye sore you see under that wall menu was the red flag I shouldn't of noticed instead of forgiving their mess for the tragedy on a plate I got for $6.99. oh,the egg rolls were decent but a bit pricey if you want more than a couple. They force you to buy 5 to get the 6th free which is almost as the price of the lunch special plate. The only way I would recommend this place is if I were blind folded & someone ordered for me & I didn't know about it & then I did!

My go to Chinese food place. The dinners are big enough for 2 people and everything is ready in about 10 minutes. I eat from here at least once a week.

They are not open on sundays even though the review here says they are. Maybe another day I'll try.

It's been a super long time since we've ordered from Texaco Chinese Food To Go. They are fast and their dinner plate portions are enough for two people! We tend to get the same entree whenever we order Chinese food to get a baseline for the flavors. We know what we like and what tastes good. We ordered the general chicken, Mongolian beef and chicken lo mein. The general chicken tasted good, but lacked as much sauce as we like it. The Mongolian beef as always was perfectly cooked with tender beef and a great vegetable to meat ratio. Not spicy at all but very good flavors. I love to eat the lo mein with my Mongolian beef instead of rice. It too had a great flavor--and let me just say, there was enough for 4 people! The noodles were more broken than normal, but that didn't take away from how good it tastes. The dinner meals come with entree, fried or steamed rice, soup of choice and... an egg roll, two spring rolls and two rangoons! Only downside is we can't eat cheese and they don't substitute so it was wasted. If you are looking for good, fast, consistent Chinese food call in an order and pick it up. The buildings outside looks deceiving as it's a gas station--but they've been around for a very long line (20+ years)

Sooooo - Chinese Food. In. A. Gas Station. Lol it sounds ridiculous. But it's actually pretty good (and cheap)! I haven't been here in yearrrssss but stopped to get gas and while I was pumping my stomach rumbled. It dawned on my that I use to come here in high school to eat! So I decided to give it another try. I ordered the lunch portion of orange chicken, only $5.99. It come with white or fried rice, I got fried. You also get a choice of and egg roll or crab rangoons. I got the rangoons, they were a little bland. I'll get the egg roll next time. All in all it was good. Don't let the fact that it's located inside of a gas station scare you away.

Best Chinese food in the area! You get a lot of food for the price and it's always been hot, fresh, and tasty! We are very pleased with the entrees and soups! Will continue to order their food to go!

I could upgrade this to 5 stars, but I need to visit it again. Who would've thought to go to a gas station for Chinese food? As soon as I got it in the car, my daughter said, "that food smells good!" My wife and I agreed. We got home and my wife opened the containers, I was impressed with the portions. We ordered chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, crab regoon, shrimp fried rice, chicken egg foo young, and chicken wings. After dinner we still had half the food left. My wife enjoyed the sauce from the egg foo young and my kids each ate 2 plates. My daughter swore panda Express was the best but her eyes are open now! After explaining to an 8 year old that panda Express was a chain and this gas station chinese food is a family owned business, you will get better quality from this place. Her eyes are open lol. We will come back again and try some different meals out.
