This is the first Choice property that I would assess as being blatantly RACIST! A simple request for someone to check a faulty faucet resulted in the property manager/owner implying (repeatedly) that either I was (for no logical reason) lying or lacked the intelligence to operate a faucet.
Upon my initial call to the front desk, the manager agreed to send someone to check the faucet but called back to offer me a different room.
When I arrived at the desk for to exchange key cards, he REPEATEDLY asserted that (without verification of the issue) there was no possible way there could be a problem or that I was probably using the faucet handle incorrectly.
I had to plead with him to come and see for himself. When he finally did, he found that there was indeed a problem. I never received an apology or acknowledgment from the owner/manager.
After checking out, I needed to sit in the lobby while my laptop finished an update that was taking several minutes. The desk staff informed me that I had to leave because the manager was coming and I should be there.
In the meantime, my son was allowed to wait for me in an Austin hotel for FOUR hours while I finished up in Schulenberg.
I am old enough and experienced enough to say that if it talks racist, looks racist, and acts racist, it's RACISM.

comfortable stay. check in person was very friendly breakfast was good definitely stay again

Black mold in the bathroom. Wouldn’t stay here if I was you. I left after the first 5 mins.

Location was decent. And the building looked good from the outside. That’s where it ended. Heater/AC didn’t work correctly. It was either on or off. Didn’t matter what the temperature setting said. If it was on heat it blew hot constantly all night. Our room was poorly remodeled at some point, and the bathroom vent was falling off the ceiling. Breakfast was garbage. Won’t be back here again.

The staff here is so nice and understand. They are quick to help with any problems you may find. The last that runs the front desk is so sweet and amazingly friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is cute with a little water fall. I enjoy staying here so much when I come to Schulenberg for school.

Room was musty and dank. Towels were stained and dingy, water smells weird and the bathroom has the faint odor of sewage. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast standard.

Hotel is pet friendly, but be prepared for fee of $20 for each Small dog and graduated fees for larger dogs. Sign states if you don’t tell them you have a pet, it is $50 charge. Would nice if this was revealed before booking!

Stayed for 3 nights. It was fine. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was good. The water tasted funny. The carpet seemed dirty.

This is my second stay at this hotel. I absolutely love everything and everyone on staff! I feel comfortable, safe, and rested. I will be staying here every time I come by this way from my classes.
