I moved to Texas a little over a year ago and I luckily found John after calling about 10 service shops to see if anyone could work on my 54 Plymouth. Always does a great job and has done the brakes on my daily drivers as well. Very fair and honest pricing and only does what needs to be done. He works on a semi part time basis so gotta get your car in early in the week.

John does good work. I am surprised by the negative reviews. When I needed some work done on my truck everybody I asked told me to go to Behrendt's. So, he took a look at it and said the issue was still under warranty due to a recall but it was a quick and easy fix. I had already wasted half of a day so I told him I would pay for it if he could get to it that day. He had me go get the part from the auto parts store then he fixed it before lunch and it was cheap! You might have to work around his fishing trips but the man works hard and does good work. He is not afraid to tell you it's a big job or that it's something that he would be uncomfortable doing. It is because of his honest nature that he is my go to mechanic.

I don’t know if this Is proper but he said he charges $100 per hour. Said about 3hrs to diagnose and then whatever comes after. Grabbed my keys and bailed.

Took truck in and paid $1500.00 to fix air conditioning. Took it back two more times and it was never fixed. Finally took it to San Marcos Toyota.

Needed to have my headlight lamps replaced. Was able to get in and have the work done quickly and efficiently. if that is indicative of the quality of work typically done, I'd recommend him.
