Lone Star Roadhouse-RV Park, now known as Mesquite Canyon Steakhouse, is a simple, no-frills campground located just off Highway 40. It offers basic full hook-up sites that are mostly level and pull-through, making it convenient for overnight stays. The park is inexpensive, with rates around $20 to $25 per night, and is a good spot to pull off the highway for a quick rest. While the campground has minimal amenities, it features a friendly staff and a nearby on-site restaurant called Mesquite Canyon Steakhouse, which serves great food like ribeye and catfish, with friendly service and good prices. The restaurant also opens early for breakfast. Some road noise is present, and the site can get warm due to pavement, so using a fan is recommended. Overall, it’s a practical, budget-friendly place for travelers needing a simple stop with full hookups and nearby dining options.
Easy in and easy out, small no frills place to stop. The site was an easy pull through site with full hookups and GREAT Wi-Fi! The price is right at $30 a night. I'm bummed I didn't write down his name, but the contact person was very friendly and available.

Not very pretty, but it only costs 30.00. You pull in, hook up, and put it in the red box. Cash only. We picked a spot that was not too bad as far as level. Restaurant on premises.
