4.5 stars. I decided to leave a review -- after I nearly didn't shop here *because of* some contradictory Yelp reviews! I didn't know what to make of the particularly overly-adulating positive review ... vs. the angry reviews that complained about strong odors in the clothes. Neither extreme was true in my experience, for my order. The company's website is super basic and unprofessional-looking. But SOS From Texas does seem to be a legitimate company, and their customer service response & shipping were instant. Most importantly -- the clothes I ordered turned out FINE (no strong or unusual odors!) and they're made of good-quality organic cotton! The prices may seem high for basic clothing (all their styles are simple) -- but their pricing is fair, after taking into account that they're a small business selling fairly made, organic cotton clothing. And it's awesome that their organic cotton is grown on their own farm! Feedback for improvement: They should redesign their website to make it look appealing, professional, and faster to navigate. And I hope they sell some new, less-basic styles of clothing one day.

Ever read a review that starts with some garbage like, "If I could give zero stars, I would." ? Well if I could give all the stars to SOS From Texas, I would. Just got my first order: t-shirts- long sleeve and short, shorts and sweat pants. First of all, there is ABSOLUTELY no odor of any kind on these items. Obviously, the mailman accidentally dropped your packages in a meth lab or some ish. These clothes are well fitting, odorless, well-made and clearly direct from artisans' hands. What I love about them is a fairly long list so let's start with the obvious. 100% American from seed to shipping. Well, there are a few companies that do that so not an overwhelmingly unique quality. But if you compare prices between companies, SoS is the winner by a substantial margin. That said, you kinda get what you pay for- which in said case would be a case of fashionability and variety; both of which cost money. Pay to play. And it plays both ways. Example: there is a company that sells all American grown and made clothes that are ultra lux. Their T-shirts are $50ea....and they look like any other high end tshirt made in China. What I notice about the natural color SOS fabric are all the little variations of color and texture that make it noticeably distinct. In other words, There are visible details in these fabrics that scream custom. Up close, when you look at the weave pattern of these textiles, it is clearly not off the rack from Target. So if you pair the idiomatic construction with price point, origin and convenience (shipping was hella quick) you're left with a resounding winner- SoS all. day. long. Shall I continue...? Yes. Let's chat about what's not 'perfect' about my order. As a scientist (lower limb biomechanics), specificity is important. I'm around 5'9", 135lbs (stop laughing I'm too busy to eat). The long sleeve tshirts are the exact, perfect length for my arms but I've never seen that. Usually there is a little slack. And I've got petite little baby girl wrists and the wrist cuffs are tighter than usual. I fear they may shrink in the wash but this company has been around long enough to have dialed that in so my fear is a distant threat. I predict the wrist cuffs will stretch out a bit. Next, pockets. Bro where the heck are the pockets on the shorts and sweatpants?? I'm looking' fabulous in my blue long sleeve T-shirt with the natural color sweats and a pair of Drew Shoe Thrust and gotta carry my accoutrement by hand? Again, pay to play. Am I gonna pay 100-200 more for pockets and a logo? Maybe once... until I get a pizza grease stain right on my cashandprizes area. Then a feast with a bowl of crow peppered with buyer's remorse and I'm back to the tried and true value of SoS. Recap yay!! I see the limited variety of this company's offerings as intentional lending to their precision in manufacturing and overall value. That said, not withstanding aforementioned commentary, this company's Values resonate with me. His Will, not mine, be done. Case closed.

Great all-american small company that is a pleasure to deal with. They have very unique organic cotton products that you can't find most other places. If you need an organic cotton product, give SOS a try!

This is what I have been looking for in a t-shirt. Grown and made in the USA by people who care about the land and the American worker. Shipped by the good old US Mail (maybe not much longer?) and arrived as fast as any mega-online store. A better price and product than fast fashion. Do yourself and your soul a favor...buy a few.

Their clothing in the undyed state has great energy, and the customer service is really great. One thing to be aware of: all of their clothing shrinks quite a bit in the dryer, so either never put them in the dryer or size up. I'm 5 foot 4 inches tall and 146 lbs and my medium long sleeved shirt has become too small due to putting it in the dryer. Next time I order womens long sleeved undyed shirts again I'll be sure to get large's, knowing they will shrink in the dyer. They do seem to shrink more and more every time they go thru the dryer, so just be careful about that!

I feel ripped off, very upset about ordering from them. The same thing as to another reviewer here happened to me. All their "organic" shirts arrived with strong chemical smell, the same kind you get when ordering some regular item that ships form China full of toxic chemicals, I had to promptly move items outside the house after opening bags, because of this. I don't know if smell is coming from dyes or pesticides used to store items; after soaking items for 3 days in vinegar solution, then in baking soda, and detergent (protocol that usually works for regular items with chemical smell), smell didn't disappear but changed to something else. After that I had to try Clorox and I have asthma and allergic to chemicals. Smell stayed and items smell like car tire and have to be thrown out! This is horrible experience and I wasted quite a bit of money. To compare, a shirt from any well-known big brand does not have this strength of chemical smell not to mention handmade items ordered from Asia that come smell-free. Their "organic cotton" does me no good because of whatever chemicals used in processing of these shirts! I probably won't be able to use them.
