The people, staffing and facility are all fine in terms of niceness, wait times and the actual imaging.
The biggest concern is the inability to check liability and insurance coverage. Example if you have a copay for $ amount and that is my liability according to the insurance - this is the amount I should pay per insurance / reality. For some reason they forced me to pay the entire discounted rate (my share + my insurance share) and I am having severe difficulties in getting my money back.
Now getting back the money is nearly impossible. First they have a bunch of automated callers and prompts. They all either transfer you to someone else, defer to insurance, delay, etc. I provided Memorial Hermann with the claim, the explanation of benefits and the electronic fund transfer number that shows proof they received the funds. Despite this, they either say they can see it all but are the wrong department to process it (despite them being listed on the invoice), said they can't find or don't have access to it or haven't received it. Insurance and I have sent the documents with proof multiple times.
My insurance is a Fortune 20 company (one of the largest companies in the U.S.) so this is ridiculous. Insurance paid them immediately so ultimately they got paid twice for one transaction.
Be aware of this office. If they can't get stuff right upfront (they always want to bill for the full cost), they will NEVER give it back to you. Been working on this for 2 months now without success.

I wish you offered open MRI or sedation for highly claustrophobic patients. Couldn’t finish the scan.

They do not take cash. No one told me ahead of time. My 12 year old did not get her imaging because of this.

My wife had a MRI scheduled for Saturday February 1, 2025. This was a reschedule from the previous week due to my wife needing medication for anxiety induced by the claustrophobia of being in the tube. On the first visit we paid the $285 copay and verified with billing prior to the second appointment that the copay credit would apply to the new appointment on February 1st.
When we arrived to check in the person we were told to talk to at the registration desk was utterly rude. She pulled up the account and advised us that we had to pay again. I tried to explain what happened a week earlier and what we were told by billing. She did not want to listen nor do the bare minimum to dig a little deeper. The place was empty so it wasn't due to busyness. She either was just rude, lazy and/or didn't care. I pressed a bit and she threatened to call security. I was firm but I wasn't loud nor was I demeaning. I just wanted to be heard and for her to do the very bare minimum and look deeper or call someone in billing. Again, she wasn't busy. So we could get this important MRI done we gave her our health savings card which she ran. She told us it was declined but my wife immediately showed the lady a notification on her phone that the copay posted. The lady, again, just wouldn't listen and asked if there was another form of payment. As of now we are in this for $570. Foolishly I handed her my debit card and it went through. So now we have paid $855 for a $285 copay.
Her lack of concern and the threat to call security when clearly she was wrong is concerning. I find it hard to believe this is the first incident like this with this employee. To make things worse my wife is also an employee of Memorial Hermann Hospital. If she treats her fellow colleagues this way I can just imagine how she treats other patients that come through the door. Patient satisfaction and care are not something she cares about. She should be trained, counseled and reassigned and not allowed to work with patients.
We talked to billing this morning and of course the employee in the imaging department was wrong and should have taken an extra step to not only listen but also verify what we said. Now we have to wait 30-60 days for a refund to be issued. Though this is will be fixed in time it should have never got to this point. Thankfully there are other choices in The Woodlands for imaging. I will not be returning to MHH Imaging.

One of the best MRI sessions that I've experienced over the past couple years. Would like to give special thanks to Rachael, who performed the imaging with professionalism and efficiency.

Mammogram appointment keeps getting rescheduled for doctors billing order being so called incorrect. They let me show up to my 3rd rescheduled appt just to waste my precious time. I could be on my death bed and they would still be talking billing as if I don’t have great insurance coverage. The whole staff needs to be replaced. They are unprofessional and rude and I will not be returning to this facility. What are you doing all day if you can’t contact these doctors timely and get what you need done!

I’ve tried this imaging center twice, each with a bad experience, and it’s enough to say that this is the worst imaging center I’ve been to (and I’ve unfortunately had to go to a lot). The first time, they told me my MRI would take 15 minutes. While in the machine, the tech did not talk to me once and I was inside for 45 minutes without knowing what was going on or why, just total silence. This is not the typical patient experience that is expected, particularly for patients who are uncomfortable in the machine. The second time I didn’t even get to do the scan. I called multiple times the week prior to confirm that there were protocols in place for the special scan I needed and was assured there would be no problem. The day of the scan, the tech tells me that they actually don’t do the kind of scan I need and also that my doctors order isn’t clear and needs to be fixed. She told me a list of medical questions I didn’t really understand but needed to ask my doctor so he could fix the order. When I called my doctor, they were shocked and told me it’s the imaging center’s job to communicate with the doctor and shouldn’t be the patient’s responsibility. Memorial Hermann should have tried to make the situation right by working with my doctor to fix the order and by helping me to schedule an appointment at a facility that is able to do the scan, but instead I went home empty handed and am having to find a doctor in a different hospital system so I can get the imaging I need. It’s upsetting that Memorial Hermann didn’t even reschedule my appointment after it was their fault I couldn’t do the scan. I’m in intense pain and was so relieved that this scan was finally going to help me, but now my suffering is just prolonged.

Do not spend your time and money. I have lower back problems during 10 years (multiple herniation, orthosis, spondylosis, building intervertebral discs) but radiologist Crysela Smith didn't see any problems in my MRI.

I would not recommend Memorial Hermann Imaging. The information they give you on co-pay is skewed, and even when challenged if this is going to be "all", they send you a separate bill by Synergy Radiology. The price is already steep compared with other imaging centers so the extra bill is even more surprising. The second time I visited MH imaging, knowing that I had received an extra bill by Synergy, I was firm to ask, "what I am paying now is all right, including Synergy Radiology?" and the lady checking me in said "yes", that I would get a separate receipt but all had been paid at that moment. Surprise, surprise I did get an extra bill and when I said the lady at the front desk had said I had paid everything in full, they said she probably could reply with plausible deniability. So I will never again. Writing this review to help others prepare for additional billing if you visit here.

I seriously injured my RT knee and Dr. Johnson my amazing Ortho doctor sent me to Memorial Herman Imaging for a Stat MRI. My knee is very painful with any movement. But my MRI tech, Miranda, was an angel who helped me through the scan. My knee is very painful and cannot be straightened without intense pain. Miranda moved me to a different machine and softer brace and I was able to complete the scan. Without her carring and professional suggestions, I would not have my scan in my surgeons hands today. Thank you Miranda!

Scheduling was very easy online, with a lot of openings. I was excited because everywhere else I call had no available for30 days or more. They verify my insurance and gave me call with the amount expected several days before my appt. Worked out payment plan that worked for me. Day of my appt, check in with no issues. The two ladies were every nice and helpful. The CT scan tech was quick and very friendly. Overall... I would definitely come back in the future for any imaging needs.
