Oh my goodness , there is not enough space on here or even enough days in the week to describe how amazing Cathy French is and has been since day one ! She has always gone above and beyond for all of her customers .I cannot thank her enough for how much she has personally assisted myself along with the ministry that I’m a part of for years .The branch is amazing , each employee is professional as well as friendly to the point that you feel like you genuinely matter . It’s actually a joy to go into the bank and see everyone!There are always smiles , fun stories and it feels like home . At a time that online banking is so popular, I still see many people come into the branch like myself, simply because we love the people that work there.

My mother-in-law opened an account with this bank because it was within walking distance of her apartment. When she passed away, I went into the bank and gave them a copy of the death certificate, added myself on the account and picked up a debit card. I left thinking all was well. Weeks later, we get a call that the account is frozen because the IDs are expired. They said they would take care of the issue, but I tried to deposit a check into the account and they had closed the account and mailed a check for the balance of the account!!!!???? This is the most horrible bank that I have ever used. They were not even concerned that they were losing over $10,000! I am very disappointed in their customer service.

Where do I start with Woodforest. They are the most outdated bank I have done business with. The only way to activate their debit cards to to go to a branch and use the atm. There was fraud on my debit card, my account was drained, they only caught 2 of the smaller transactions, and reversed them. They said I would have to do a dispute for the rest of the charges even though they were only minutes apart. They make you come in to a branch and sign forms about the fraud, this took me about 30 minutes in the branch. They told me I would get the money back in 3-5 days. That's not the norm, first off. I called back in 4 business days to check on the status to find out the papers were never "sent in" from the branch I visited, so they can't process my money back to me. The customer service "manager" couldn't get ahold of the branch I signed papers at, so they have to request the papers electronically. I was on the phone for 25 minutes while she tried to get someone in the branch to answer the phone, just for her to tell me she couldn't help me today because no one would answer the phone at that branch. Then she continued to question me as if I never went in and signed the papers. They said they do not have to give me any type of provisional credit for the next 10 days and they will get back to me. This bank is a joke.

Woodforest is really going down the drain. Worst customer service at this location EVER!! I went to deposit a check that was an homeowners insurance refund. It had myself and my ex husband on the check. We both signed the check but the teller said she couldn’t deposit it. Now... I literally deposited an exact same check the same way just 4 days previously. Same company, made out the same way, just a different amount (apparently a lot of times mortgage companies send 2 checks out). It’s VERY frustrating and a HUGE inconvenience to a customer of over 10 years to deal with this. If it was done once, it should have been done again. Don’t make up random policies and apply them when you feel like it. Fortunately, my ex and I are on good terms and he can meet me, just have to drive another 30 minutes out of the way. Thanks Woodforest for doing the right thing. ohh and get with the times.. how about incorporating Zelle or updated ATM’s that take cash deposits - similar to Chase.
