(UPDATE 3/30/24, I GOT IT FIXED FOR FREE AT ANOTHER STANTON OPTICAL, WHILE YOUR LOCATION TIRED TO SCAM ME!) DONT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION.. This Stanton Optical, always trying to scam its customers, I paid for warranty! They made a mistake on my glasses, then they told me its $500 but will give me 50 percent off,so its $299... No!!! I PAID FOR A WARRANTY!!! PLUS ITS YOUR MISTAKE!! FIRE THE OWNER, CUSTOMER DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED..(my responds to your responds) so what you going to do? Investigate like you did the other reviews? You will do nothing like you have with the other reviews. This location does not represent Stanton optical policies. I will go back out of town, to another Stanton optical, where they will make it right. Cause clearly you will NEVER make things right! (FYI I posted this review 3/25/24, I was never called, asked or the case was never investigated, I did everything on my own, no help from this location, DONT SHOP HERE! SCAM I DONE PROVED IT)

Huge scam..they advertise their eye exams for $59. (Without insurance) I went with my insurance, which I know the copays for eye exams in and out of network. The lady told me they accept my insurance but if I didn't buy the glasses from them the eye exam would be $95!!! I asked her to check again she said thats how my insurance dictated it had to be. I walked out, called my insurance to make sure and lo and behold thats not how it worked. Not only that, even if it was out of network the max they should have charged as copay for a yearly exam was $40. Definitely will not be returning somewhere that treats clients like morons who dont know their insurance benefits just to make a quick buck.

Trust is important to me. I understand mistakes and give second chances. But lies are not acceptable. The Brand manager at the Sherman location personally processed my order for glasses. I had my exam done at an unrelated optometrist. During the process, she made a mistake (used the prescription from someone else with the same name). I picked up the glasses and took them home. Discovered the mistake (wrong prescription) and called to ask what to do. The woman who answered the phone was honest and confirmed my suspicion. She had me email my prescription. I returned the frames the next day so they could replace the lenses. I had no issue with mistakes. We were past that. But the manager decided to make a defensive remark that the other customer also shared the same birthdate. That was very sus, because we are in a small town. We suggested maybe it was our son, who shares my name (but it was not his prescription). She latched onto that narrative. She asked for his phone number and said "yes, that's it. That's what happened". She gave us a refund. And blacked out the name/address of the actual customer with a sharpie. Well, sharpies fade. And it wasn't my son, it wasn't his phone number, wasn't my birthday. The other customer was 3 years older, and lived 60 miles away. This was a string of lies. Totally unnecessary.

Walked in with glasses that I had gotten over 3 years ago. The screws had fallen out. I asked the guy to see if he could put screws in them and he said yes. Give me a few minutes. In a few minutes later he came back out with them and charged me nothing

I was nervous coming here given the reviews but best experience hands down. I’ve felt so welcomed and left here so happy and satisfied with my glasses and the store. When I first entered, I was greeted by the store manager and she so nicely directed me to where their eye exams would take place. Brenda ( I think) was also so nice and told me they were having difficulties with their second half of the exam but that all got resolved in less than 10 mins. The whole exam was done so fast. She even offered to perform the exam herself if the issue didn’t resolve. The second half has the doctor on a computer but it worked just as good as the actual optometrist and she was so nice and patient with me. While they got my prescription ready I was able to try on glasses where the extra person that came in to help told me all about their promotions. I left there only paying 79.99 for both pair of glasses including my eye exam. Brenda apologized for making me wait so long to check out so many times. They all went above and beyond to see if I could leave with glasses the same day but given my astigmatism I understood that wouldn’t be possible. It all sounded too good to be true. The glasses were ready in 7 days and on the day of pickup the lady was so nice and made sure they were the right fit and gave me some recommendations to get adjusted to the new prescription. Everyone was so nice and helpful I can’t help stress enough to my family that they need to go to this location. Thank you so much.

I recently visited this optometrist for an eye exam and adjustment, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The initial eye measurement seemed to be done carelessly, resulting in an incorrect prescription. Despite going for an adjustment, I encountered the same issue with another incorrect prescription. I expected a more accurate and professional service. I hope the staff can improve their attention to detail to ensure better outcomes for future customers.

These guys ran a 2 glasses and eye exam special for 79.99. I called Booked appointment. Was told special is for no frills single vision. I said cool. I get there and I explained I have never had eye exam. Not sure I need glasses just wanted to check bc close up reading going a little blurry. Was told eye exam with no glasses would be 99.99. I said your giving me 79.99 for exam and glasses but if my eyes are not bad enough for glasses it would cost me more? He said policy of store policy that if I wanted different I would have to go to a corporate store. I explained this is a flawed business practice.

The lady (manager) that helped me in the Sherman Texas store went above and beyond to help. I really appreciated the new digital technology and I’m 63 years old. We have no vision insurance so Stanton Optical is our BEST solution! Thanks, Johnny Reed

I had a great experience!! Very helpful with insurance details and my initial order. Lost my glasses and had to replace them. People at this store were VERY helpful and got me a replacement pair in about 5 days. Highly recommend this location for knowledgeable staff that's both friendly and helpful!!!

Super friendly, fast, and professional. Highly recommend! Update: both my husband and I finally received our glasses, we each bought 3 pairs. The glasses don't work for us, we can't see as well with them as we did with our old ones.
