Friendly small town furniture store. Worth your time if you're looking for furniture. Maybe you will not have to fight big city traffic or rude people in the Austin stores. Not saying they have it all but maybe what you are looking for? Go take a look.

I purchased a lovely Lazy Boy loveseat recliner console to replace the one in our 5th wheel. It was exactly what I wanted. Delivery was great; everyone was friendly. The old piece was removed. The problem was that the seat on one side had a "hole" that you sunk down into like an old worn-out chair, making it difficult to get out of. The owner of the store came out to look at it. The man will not let anyone else talk at all. He talks over you, and he interrupts you. He is extremely rude. He is impossible to work with! He had all kinds of excuses as to why my new furniture's problem was our fault. It was only 3 weeks old. He inferred that my husband was too fat for the chair, causing the hole which is not true. When they turned the chair over, I pointed out the problem with the springs. Ok, fast forward, the workers brought out the new seat and back. That entire seat was being replaced under warranty. The new seat is no different and no better than the original one. Same hole. Same everything. I fully believe they took the original one out to their truck and a short while later brought it back in and put it back in place and telling me it was new. It is not new! It is the same chair with the exact same problem! My fault was not going outside with them to watch. My husband came home later and discovered what they had done. We were moving, so I did not address it with them. I would never ever recommend this store to anyone. The owner is no better than the crooked loud, mouthed used car salesman depicted in movies.

Crystal and I had been kicking around replacing our matress and replacing guest room matresses as well with two fine mattress. We thought...well we need to go 45 miles away to get to a competitive environment where we could shop and possibly haggle for the best deal on the highest quality. We live in the woods and Smithville, Texas is our nearest town. We had always thought...well any business in Smithville is going to be more expensive than Austin or San Antone just because those that can't travel are forced to buy local due to lack of choices...nothing could have been futher from the truth. We walked into Milton's and were allowed to look with no pressure, once we milled about the bedding Don Mutschnik walks up to assist us and explained the differences between good, better and best. He was very helpful and patient with us. Then he began to reduce the prices. I just noticed a sale on national brands, Don's prices were a month ahead of what is the current pricing and why I am writing this review. They even came out twice to lift our bedding to the second story, when the bedding wouldn't go up the stairs at no extra charge. Their delivery crew was professional, kind and helpful. I want anyone that doesn't trust rural local businesses to give you the best deal to take a leap of faith and give them a shot you may be greatly surprised, especially with Milton's. Milton's Furniture has been in business since 1948. If you are in the area or even if you aren't don't be like us and make Milton's the last choice, they are now our first choice. Thank you from the Kindred's you have made our Thanksgiving and Christmas comfortable.

We recently purchased a washing machine from miltons. I wanted a machine with a load size selection. Don had one in stock ready to go. We are using less water now, better cleaning, and the time it takes to wash is much less too. All this at less cost than a comparable one from the big box store. Thanks for the great service.

Several years ago we purchased a Lang recliner from Milton. A month ago it stopped working, and I found there were two broken bolts on the floor, along with a spring. I replaced the bolts, but could not replace the spring. I called and spoke to “DON”, who said they would have to charge me $75. For a service call to pick up the chair for repair. I agreed and said I would even pay $200, as it was an expensive chair. He agreed to pick up the chair, but no one has shown up when they said they would. That’s been over a month ago, I’m no longer able to speak with “DON”, and just get the run around.You can be sure I’ll be running around to other stores to do my future furniture shopping.

Really liked the gentleman that helped me..very forthcoming on how the pandemic affected Mom & Pop stores (late deliveries, stocking issues). Unfortunately, they didn't have what I needed. Otherwise, I would've bought here because of the salesman's honesty.
