Auto Repair in Sonora, TX

“We were heading back from Arizona and was on the I-10E, 6 hrs from home (Houston), when our Sequoia engine light appeared. My husband stopped, popped the hood, over heated and water dripped from the hose. Small town, towing was difficult to find. No car ride, no uber. Called for hotel transport around 9pm, a hotel told us to call 911 help. Dispatcher gave us 2 towing companies all rollled into voicemail. We slept in our Sequoia for the night, I literally PRAYED pls GOD, keep us safe and no cars slam into us at night. I kept asking my husband to pull dowb further down the side of I10, more safe and we can doze of without the wind and movement of big rig. By 7 am, we called for towing (12 miles from Sonora), thank goodness someone answer the phone, recommended Castillej Auto Repair. Callrd and the receptionist immediately informed me they had work backed up wks, but she did not stop here. She said she would get my # and forward to the Mr. MONDO. Sure enough, 3 min off the phone, he called us back. Within less than 10 min, Mr. Mondo said he would take a look at it for us. I didn't expect with the loads of work he has he would be able to serve us. I told him in our conversation, since last night, and small town....we aren't expecting anything other than getting our vehicle towed to safe place, we can get our son from Houston come for us, and we can leave our vehicle here...once its fix, we can come back for it...NOT knowing if its a minor or major problem, if his auto repair can get to serve us...at this point, I just want to go home.

We got a towing company to come in 30 min, Mr. Mondo agrees to look at....we feel BLESSED out of harms way, and just feeling closer to going home after 26 hours on the road and stranded last night!

We arrived at Castilleja Auto Repair, Everyone was so nice. Wait area is big and clean with tv & refreshments. My husband was given wifi and was working, in meetings. Overall, the staff was super friendly, professional, and Mr. MONDO went out of his way to diagnosed, buy parts and fixed our hose for us to get home! Service was above and beyond! We cannot THANK Castilleja enough for taking us, and working swiftly today - sending us back on the road - homebound!!! Much appreciation and God bless to CASTILLEJA Auto repair.
