Update: Like 99% of the dealerships I've ever dealt with, the employees are not nearly as helpful and friendly AFTER the sale as they are BEFORE. I called 2 months after my purchase with a simple question about my warranty. I don't appreciate receiving a lecture on word definitions as though I don't have 2 brain cells to rub together.
My husband and I both commented that this was different from any car buying experience we have ever had. So laid back...no pressure...friendly....and just the vehicle I wanted.
A big shout out to our salesman, Ron!

Always great service. They are speedy with service and always call when finished. Clean waiting area with snack vending. So much better than driving in to Beaumont. Small town business that cares about its customers. Skip the big city, even if it's a longer drive...its well worth it.

I wanted to buy a new Maverick. They had one in transit. I talked to the sales manager and told him I wanted to buy it as soon as it came in. He promised me he'd call. He didn't they sold to someone else. I was going to finance with them. I was going to put 15k down and with an 815 credit score I feel it would have been a easy sale. So if Doug the sales manager tells you he will call don't believe him. For years Sour Lake Ford and Sour Lake Motors were probably the best dealership in the area to buy from. I don't know what happened to them.

Sour Lake Ford is the worst dealership I have ever done business with. Leeland with Mr Transmission(who is amazing and i would recommend everyone go to him)originally looked at my car and it showed the tcm module needed to be replaced. It was throwing codes U0100 and U0101.He did some research and found that specific item is covered under the Customer Satisfaction Program 14M02. He called sour lake ford to confirm this and told me to take it to them. I took the paperwork with me stating that information. The tech that worked on my car did not replace the tcm module. The code he received was P0902 which still means the TCM should be replaced. He did replace a clutch actuator that was bad but i was charged over 500 dollars. When i got into the car, it was clear the guy that worked on my car did not even bother to put a piece of paper down so my floorboard was a mess. It has only been a month since I got my car back from them and it is not starting. It is reading codes U0I00 and U0101 at Mr Transmission. I kept leaving messages with Sour Lake to try and get some answers. My messages were ignored.i called back again and got through to James. He was very kind. That being said, I still do not have the answers I was looking for. Even though the clutch actuator was bad, I'm curious if It was really necessary to replace when the tcm module is the main problem. If the tech would have just replaced the tcm module instead, my car might be working right now and I would not have had to fork out over 500.00
