Eventually we were on vacation in SPI and my family and I looked for a restaurant nearby to eat, the food was super delicious, but the red-haired waiter who served us was super mean, he seemed like he wasn't in a good mood, I don't remember his name but that put a damper on our meal. . I repeat; We came from the hotel and were looking for a good place. But the person who brought us the other entrees and meals was nicer. Elegant place, delicious wines and drinks.

Went here three days ago with my girlfriend. We were in town for spring break and had a hard time finding a place to eat. We eventually decided on F&B and had mixed feelings about it. Our server was very courteous and helpful, but it took an exceptionally long time to get our meal, get the check, and get pretty much everything else. I had the catch of the day (mahi mahi served on couscous) which was quite good. My girlfriend had a pasta special with shrimp that she enjoyed. The atmosphere was pleasant due in part to the design of the restaurant. When you are here it feels like you're inside of a fancy home. Overall, we had an okay experience. The food was good but the service was so slow it didn't really justify the price.

Saw all the great reviews regarding the great service and great food, and we decided to celebrate our anniversary here. But for us, it was only great food and so so service from our waiter. The food was delicious and was cooked great for our taste, and the bread was a great snack to enjoy during the wait. Our waiter didn't seem happy to be attending to us and lacked any emotion to make us feel welcomed. He only checked on us when I flagged him down, and he circled us 5 times and didn't acknowledge us even with not many tables being full. The gentlemen bringing out the food made us feel welcome more than our own waiter. Then to be told they don't have any dessert for anniversary because of no pastry chef broke my wife's heart and I called Liams Steakhouse minutes before closing and they were able to take us in and feel welcomed with a great Happy Anniversary Dessert.

We don't deserve F&B. This place should be in Austin or LA. But it's ours and we're damn lucky to have it. The bartender knew how to make my drink (a sidecar) without having to look it up (I checked). The food was plentiful, carefully prepared and reasonably priced given the exceptional level of quality. I drank too much good wine and felt like hell the next day, but it was worth it.

WOW! What a lovely experience, this place checks all the boxes of an awesome dinner. The service was impeccable, the perfect combination of quisine knowledge without being pretentious. The atmosphere was airy and positive, nice spacing, cool artwork. And the food, OMG, this is an unexpected experience the likes of New York or Paris (without the attitude)! The menu has something for everyone. Everything we had was so fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. In all honesty, I thought it was a bit pricey UNTIL I ate; it was so good the price is absolutely justified. I don't mind paying for excellence. Don't miss this gem!Dietary restrictions: I'm celiac and have several allergies, chef graciously made appropriate accomodations.

Just an incredible meal of smoked duck with beautiful accompaniments. Delicious carrot puree and garlicky broccolini. Wonderful wine and beer as well. Great, attentive, and knowledgeable service. Highly recommended.

Having previously dined at F&B on New Year’s Eve when we visited South Padre, we made reservations for NYE again this year. Our previous meal here went well with good food and top notch service so we had no qualms about paying $150 per person again for the prix fixe meal. Our server seemed a little new and tried really hard to upsell, but he was attentive, nice, and kept our drinks full and plates cleared. However, we were sorely disappointed in the food this time. My husband and I both ordered the same meal- I am severely allergic to scallops, so we ordered the beef option. Our starter was King Crab soup, which had good flavor and pieces of crab but the temperature of the soup was ridiculously low. We like our soup to be extra hot but this was just warm.Second course was Lobster Ravioli which was served at an even lower temperature than the soup. The sauce was okay but I expected much more from the sauce. The ravioli was too far on the crunchy side of al dente, it definitely needed to be cooked longer. And I am someone who really appreciates a good al dente pasta. The filling was awfully dry and rather skimpy.Main course was Braised Beef Short Ribs over Parmesan Polenta with a black truffle au jus. I really wanted to enjoy this course as the two previous courses were disappointing. I immediately took a bite of polenta and was very shocked that it was room temperature. The meat too was room temperature, and I had to scoop a bite of polenta from under the meat to even find a semblance of lukewarm warmth. I looked over at my husband and he set his fork down and told me a story of one time when he was terribly snowed in out in the country and had to eat a can of Alpo dog food. And that is how he knows that our overcooked beef short ribs both tasted and looked like canned Alpo dog food. Can’t just add truffles to make it a fancy feast, it will still taste like Fancy Feast. The Polenta was too gummy for me and the sauce wasn’t great. I finished my meat so as to not be hungry after an expensive meal but my husband did not.Dessert was a Strawberry Soufflé which took quite a while to come out. The Soufflé and the ramekin were extremely hot which was rather odd after our previous under temperature courses. The accompanying vanilla bean chantilly cream was perfectly whipped and scooped but not perfectly enough to make up for our $300 meal.

Incredible dinner from start to finish. Greeted and sat immediately (yes, we had a reservation) HUGE thank you again to our waiter Matt. Very attentive and helpful regarding drinks and menu. My wife and I shared the salt crusted snapper. The young lady who did the tableside plating added details about the prep that made the dish even more enjoyable (wish I had gotten her name)Portions are big. So many nice touches like blue cheese stuffed olives in the martinis are what separates F&B from other places.
