System is poo poo, constant random shut downs or resets, very slow during times of need and just overall janky. On top of that they supply the guards with $10 amazon tablets, can't believe communities are paying for this "Security System".

For the most part I think you are doing ok except for Thursday afternoon I felt like I was being harassed by a new guard.I gave him my Address several times my name several times then I had to spell it for him REALLY. Is Roy hard to spell

I'd be happy to share my thoughts privately but not publicly as your message indicated. Gate shows much room for improvement, including the software: 1) Revise access to our portal, and make it easier to read; 2) make the process easier, especially when SAVING. 3) Provide our guards with updated guest info in real time. It is currently delayed and causes embarrassment on both the guests' and my side when entering the neighborhood. Too many steps. Thanks for listening...

I love the concept of this app… But some software tweaks would be greatly appreciated!First, when, entering a guest or business name, it would be extremely helpful to allow additional keyboard characters, Such as spaces, dashes, apostrophes ($&@‘’:;-/ etc) because some people and businesses use characters in their names.Second, when, putting in dates for the access timeline… This is a little buggy. Scrolling to find the correct date, It doesn’t always capture what I click on. We’ve learned to cheat the system by going out one additional day, but it would be nice if clicking on the correct date actually worked!Also, it would be helpful to have the original access code available within the app… Sometimes, when someone in our family accidentally gets logged out or changes phones, we have to search for the original email from the HOA to find the access code for our address. It would be useful to be able to log in and easily find that.Lastly, whenever there is an announcement from the community through the app, there is a pop-up notification on my phone, but the announcement is never found on the app. When I see the notification, I have to then go to my email to read the announcement. That’s annoying… There should be a history of all announcements in the app.Editing to add… While I am very much a fan of Google reviews, I am curious how our entire neighborhood received a text request for reviews when our phone numbers are not used within the app?Who shared our personal information with Gate Sentry in order to text the request for reviews?

Overall, I like using Gate Sentry because I have a large degree of control, but it has been spotty in notifying me when visitors/vendors arrive. Sometimes I receive a notification, which is great, and sometimes I don’t. I’d like to have greater consistency.

Gate is down often. It’s a simple gate which I like, nothing fancy about it. I believe for those who hit it, it’s in their best interest ti have this style of gate as the arms are cheap to repair. They essentially break off to save the the motor and hardware.I work closet within the gate industry and there are some really nice and advance gate system. However, they are also very closely and to repair a broken arm is expensive. I think the old style gate in which we have is roughly $250 or less, with a new gate arm you are likely pushing $1500-2200 and 2 week plus lead time. That’s a huge difference on a repair job.I know I won’t have an issue but as many times as that gate gets hit, the repairs and down time are going to rise.

Let's get rid of the beat-up pool noodles and join the 21st century with a lit gate. They look great and would improve our overall entrance appearance. Possibly, also look at a new company with a quicker response time for gate repairs. Maintain the financial responsibility to residents that damage the gate sentry system.

It’s gotten way better of late. Only issue I have is I occasionally get an alert and when it defaults to Gate Sentry it’s the blank screen when I open the app and there’s no message there usually from Asher or Joni about some thing going on but I can go onto the community Facebook page.and it’s usually posted there.

Better than a month ago. Several times see gate open with people going by and not a glance by the guard, also guard is not holding visitors until resident lane clears the gate…happened twice to me in the last several weeks.
