I came to Texan Fitness with no CrossFit experience and hadn’t been to a gym class since highs school, just wanting to try it out and see if I liked it. I loved it--the people here make this gym!! To start, all the coaches, especially Matt, were so friendly and kind – making sure I understood any of the weightlifting and providing clarification as needed during the workouts. My fellow workout compadres were amazing too; people would introduce themselves and are very encouraging! Everyone is from all walks of life, so it’s wonderful to come together and complete a workout together and bond that way. I found the workouts relevant and do-able, with multiple options to appeal to all levels, and an emphasis on quality over quantity. Would highly recommend this gym!

Awesome CrossFit gym and community! A gym you can call a home away from home. Solid instruction, providing scaling options and form correction for all levels.

I haven’t been to any gym in over 14 months due to Covid precautions. Although I train at home, I was excited to be around some people and attempt to get after it as we all know that gets tough on your own. Prior to Covid, I was a steady attendee to another CrossFit gym that has since then closed down. Not only that, I traveled the country often and always made time to find a CrossFit gym to drop in at. I have been doing CrossFit since 2008, so my drop-in experience is that of over hundreds of gyms from coast to coast.I dropped-in at this gym on a random Monday evening. This was one of the last scheduled classes of the day according to their schedule. I called prior to my arrival just to make sure it was ok to drop In... a veteran coach was more than willing to get me what I needed so that my arrival and workout was seamless. When I arrived, I walked in through the big pull up door as the prior class was cleaning up. That didn’t stop a coach named coach D from quickly making his way to me and very kindly greeting me, introducing himself, and welcoming me to Texan Fitness. Although I have been to many many gyms, walking into a place not knowing anyone is still nerve racking, especially since I haven’t done so in over 14 months. That feeling went away immediately, and I felt right at home. I had a great work out and I can’t say enough about this gym, the members, and their staff. The class was diverse in culture, age, and experience level... it didn’t matter who you were they proved to me by how they treat each other, and how they treated me as well. I was Introduced to the class as the coach said to “make him feel welcome”... it was obvious this was not a forced task and one that had already been accomplished. I would highly recommend this gym and I can’t wait to go back.It is clear this place is well run from the top down.

Texan Fitness is an incredible gym who will help you meet your goals at any age. I started Texan Fitness in the fall of 2020 to help manage my stress and improve my fitness level. Now, at age 45, I am training for my first “novice” competition. That’s not too shabby considering two years ago I weighed 185 lbs. (5’4”) and did little to no physical activity. From the owners to the other gym members, you have a community who will help you find the better version of yourself. All you need to do is consistently show up and give your best.
