There were no employees in the self checkout area when there were only yt people. When I proceeded to use that area not one but two employees watched me like a hawk while I scanned and bagged my items. It was the creepiest thing. I HAD HEARD ABOUT HOW RACIST SL IS BUT NOW I KNOW FIRSTHAND. POC SHOULD AVOID THIS STORE.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Tom Thumb! Everyone who works here is so kind, helpful and actually takes the time to say hello and ask if I'm finding everything ok. It's got a hometown feel every time I walk in, and I'm so glad it's close by! Love the managers too who I'm sure help create the great environment. I just saw the main guy congratulating and encouraging one of the new hires and it just warmed my heart! That's what we need more of everywhere! Supportive, friendly, invested managers and leadership!

I started calling around early afternoon on 6/29/22. Several other Tom Thumbs in the area that didn't have what I wanted or didn't have any suggestions. I think I talked to Sylvia over the phone at this location, I asked if they had a strawberry cake available, and they didn't. However, after she talked with the baker she asked if I wanted to have them make one for me to have ready to pickup later that day. I was shook! No other store offered that. The procrastinator in me was so elated! Here I was calling the day that I needed this specific cake! These precious ladies at this great store really came through for me and was super helpful. The Strawberry cake with strawberry whipped icing and fresh strawberries on top was delicious!!! I will be making my future orders with this store because of the exceptional customer service that was given. Thank you!

If you have a problem with delivery don't expect it to get fixed. Customer service can't and won't help you. They still owe me $72.19, a duplicate charge done because no one is trained correctly. I used to say I love Tom Thumb and I would recommend them. Now I tell people what I am going through and warn them to not use them. Shop Target, Wal Mart, Kroger.....anywhere but here

Nice grocery store. Decent deli. Decent bakery with a "diner cake" however, the Organic produce section is not adequate. The only thing I found here was the organic cuties (mandarin oranges) I eat every day that I love. Plus, they sell them across the street at Sprouts cheaper. Also I want to note, I buy the snap peas all the time & the ones Tom Thumb carries here is 3 times the price of the ones I buy at ALDI. How is that possible?? The wine selection is decent. They do carry a decent selection of Oregon Pinot Noir. However, the price of Modelo beer here is DOUBLE the price of anywhere else. DOUBLE! WOW. Total fail. Won't return.

This store is a convenient location to stop by after work on my way home, but the inside feels old and I cant seem to find what I need most of the time. I only come here for last minute things like milk, but I would never do my primary grocery shopping here.

This note should serve a cautionary tale for anyone buying packaged produce from this store. Tonight, I purchased a package of Tom Thumb branded celery. The pictures will speak for themselves. The only point to add is that the celery smelled like soil and rotten vegetation. The next part of this story is even more disturbing. When I called the store and spoke with the on-duty manager Paul, his initial reaction was to laugh when I described the celery. I explained that food safety is a very serious concern. He then said flippantly that "they are all licensed by the state" in food safety. I assume that Texas teaches laughter as a response to rotting food at a major grocery chain. I will say that Paul did do a good job of trying to deflect the responsibility of purchasing rotting celery onto me. His first question was did you check it. Yes, I checked it. I looked through the bag; however, the condensation and graphics hid the ends. Again, I presume that this is the curriculum.

I came here looking for a very specific item. A particular flavor of pretzel chip. A flavor I was not able to find anywhere else. But here, I did find it. So while normally I would have gone four stars, since my search was ended, 5 stars. But seriously, it's a typical Tom Thumb. I think Tom Thumbs present a little better than Kroger, but then they tend to be a little higher priced too. I typically shop at both, about he same amount. Thuy is a fan of the flowers at Tom Thumb. Bottom line: Thank you for ending my pretzel search. Hopefully the picture will attach to this review.

I have been shopping at another store for years but that store has added even more self check outs where now, half of the store is self check with only maybe one real cashier working. I've 'had' to use self check especially if I'm at K before 8am. Why should I spend my time & $$ then I have to check out my self. I've started going to this Tom Thumb and they do have the friendliest people. It's always clean with competitive prices and better yet, no self check out lines.
