The property definitely has potential but it didn't fully met my expectations in terms of ambiance. The views are stunning but location and layout of the seating areas do not really optimize the view. For example I didn't want any trees eye level on the perimeter of the patio blocking those 360 degree views. Also there wasn't really anywhere to walk the property it just felt like parking lot and the main patio area. Service was friendly and professional, but something about it didn't give me that Vineyard feel.

Adrián Scalia left.Without him it's just another mediocre winery.

First off this scenery is absolutely gorgeous! It felt like a resort. The wine is delicious and I tried almost all of them! Appetizers amazing and exotic. Probably some of the best ceviche I've had in my life!!

Remarkably disappointing. I understand that challenges can arise when staff turnover occurs and/or an establishment undergoes transition, but unfortunately, those reasons simply cannot justify the quality of our experience. My partners family selected El Gaucho to round out a beautiful day spent in the hill country and we were eager to dine on their beautiful patio. Although the ambiance was wonderful and the venue well kept, the food was an incredible letdown and entirely not worth the high price tag paid. Our salads were served in dishes with dirtied sides and with less than fresh ingredients. The tostones seemed old as they were served cold, hard, and tasteless. My partner and I ordered a side of white rice which arrived brown instead of white (not due to spices, but genuinely a different grain) and was so hard/inedible, that our entire group of four refused to serve another spoonful. Our steaks were seemingly of select quality, were under seasoned, and were not cooked to our requested temperatures. I’m not stating the above in exaggeration or simply to complain - I work in hospitality myself, and aim to always empathize with an establishment and provide them with the benefit of the doubt - But this experience was truly inexcusable. I recognize that management may receive this review as outright negative, but I encourage them to instead view it as an opportunity to reinvest in their operation and level their offerings up. A few simple changes could make a sizable impact and we’d love to revisit following El Gaucho’s resurrection.

Great place with nice staff! I didn't expect the steak to be so delicious with flavor, very intimate vibe.

El Gaucho Winery was an absolutely amazing experience. The new chef was like no other and made sure all the food we ordered was up to liking of all of my friends and family. Thank you for the delicious food chef and the everlasting memory you’ll provided.

This place was great. Idk if they got a new chef or what but it’s fantastic. The menu, the food, no big wait, great atmosphere. Check it out!!!

The steaks were incredible and paired beautifully with their amazing selection of wines. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. A fantastic spot for a delicious meal and great wine!

I absolutely adored our group lunch here. Love having authentic Argentinian food in the Texas Hill countrr. Empanadas were delicious but the vegetable sancocho soup was the star for me. Not only is the food wonderful, but the wine is Devine. Coming from the soil around the Andes, you can taste the earthiness in the reds. I highly suggest the Cab Franc but even better make a group reservation and share several different bottles. You will not regret it

I don't think they can call this a winery. Also the food appears to come from a food truck, not a proper kitchen. Great views, nice people, but don't be fooled it's not a winery or a gourmet meal.

We came to this place to celebrate my bachelorette. However, it was extremely disappointing. One of our friends had an avocado allergy which we specifically told the waiter. When the food came in it they almost handed her the plate with avocado because “he could not tell” it had it.In addition, one of our appetizers and side dishes never came in. The food was cold by the time it came to our table and our sever did not communicate with us about the status of our food. The only reason they get one star is because the food the empanadas that we ordered were good.Do not come to this place unless you want bad service and overpriced food.
