I do not know what has happened the last year, but things here have gotten really bad customer service wise. I had a great loan officer for my car. I have had a few car loans with ECCU. She was my main point of contact and my payments were taken out automatically each month. I needed some help and reached out to her a couple months ago and found out she left. It took my hours to find someone to speak to me about something so simple. I had to jump through multiple hoops but it finally got done. I then needed some more help a month ago and called. I waited on hold for over 30 minutes. I tried chat and no one was available. I then commented on their social media and about a week later someone contacted me. They then updated their website and payment systems a couple months ago. The roll out was a huge mess. I had to resign up for everything which also knocked out my auto payments. I did not know what. I had been overpaying for months and did not have a payment in December. I try to pay early and overpay to avoid added interest. I now have extra interest and fees because of the auto payment getting knocked out. I tried to submit my loan payment today and kept getting declined. I called my bank and they said the payment is coming through on their end as $0.00. They see the attempts but the amount is $0 even though on loan portal it shows the full payment amount. I called and waited 15 minutes to speak to someone. They put in a ticket and told me pay it from my bank account instead. Not what I want to do because that is not how I had my auto payments set up previously. The customer service has truly plummeted and it is sad because this used to be a really great credit union. It is like they quit caring and it is very noticeable.

*HORRIBLE ONLINE BANKING* — Every time I need to log in for online banking my credentials never work. Although, I already re-enrolled, after they messed up the system. I reset my password and still does not work. What kind of joke is this? Is it like this bank wants to force customers to use a cellular to do online banking; that is, going backwards? IF MEMBERS NEED URGENT ONLINE BANKING AND IT IS NIGHT TIME, GOOD LUCK BEING ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT. You have to call them every time. What a mess!!! We already started considering a different bank.

This bank not only has the worst IT strategists, but also the most ¡d¡otic web designers. They decided to discriminate those who use computers to do online banking. Now everything looks narrow and pile up for cellular view, when, in my case, it is precisely the reason I don’t like to use a cellular for banking. Horrible! And instead of a smooth transition for the "new system", they couldn’t put a legend on the login window to say members have to re-enroll, because the old credentials don’t work any longer. In my case it took me half an hour to be able to find out by phone and by chat.

Went in on a Friday at 9:30. Needed an auto loan. Became a member filled out the app all done before 10:00. Given a card for Julie Hibbard. She was in her office on the phone. Left it alone went home. Needed the loan asap, I mentioned and stressed that. Have a 820 score and income good felt would have been call the same day. Reviews stated good place for auto loan. Nada didn’t hear from her till late Tuesday. Had already secured the loan Saturday with FSCU wasn’t best experience for me. Wasted my Friday tbh.

My overall experience at Energy Capital Credit Union is outstanding. Cassie Hayes assisted us with both of my accounts. Plus, the credit union has more options to choose from. Garrett at Energy Capital Credit Union was extremely helpful and informative when we opened our high-yield checking and savings accounts as well as getting a great rate on a used car loan. The customer service at ECCU was top notch compared to our big bank.Thanks again Garrett!

Garret, (Branch Manager) and another lady (not sure the name) helped me with several things regarding my checking and savings acct. He went out of his way to contact one of my customers bank to give me access to my money before the weekend, anytime people go thus far to help you is a great sign. This ECCU location is in GREAT hands!!
