Ever since I moved to TX, HEB has always been my go to for food shopping. They have a lot of foods I grew up eating. Love this place.

Complete incompetence. We were told they had a specific medication in stock (mind you they “confirmed” they had it, for our pet. After driving 40 + minutes, they couldn’t find it.. some lady grumbled saying maybe we called another store because apparently they assume we are the idiots. I asked them if it was the Riley Fuzzle store and they confirmed it was. A girl finally admitted to taking the call and reading an Advantage box.. the medication we called on is called REVOLUTION!! How can you be in the back filling prescriptions and you can’t read a freaking name!! Im sure they are mindlessly filling prescriptions wrong at this point without the inability to read but yet they supposedly have to go through schooling. Best option was to order it.. yeah no thanks my local Kroger was smart enough to give me that option right away. I will use them. Be warned about medications you are taking from here.

I have to say, I am beyond disappointed about the service we received today at the pharmacy. this is the first time they refuse to help with something as important as medication that is dire to our child's wellbeing. I requested a refill via mychart on the 22nd and we received a call from heb after that to let us know the meds were ready. my husband went to pick them up today 10/28 and they claimed they didn't have anything. fine, technical issues. I understand it happens. I asked my husband to ask again if they can dispense the medication because we are literally out of it. I would follow up with my kids neurologist in the morning and ensure they had the prescription. I have had these instances happen in the past and the pharmacist is able to give me an emergency fill. this is a medication that my kid needs to function. since it was right before closing time they refused to make any effort and told my husband there was nothing they could do even though he showed them the mychart request dated 10/22. I'm so upset and disappointed. I don't know what we will do tomorrow morning when he goes to school at 7 and the pharmacy doesn't open until 8. I honestly can't believe they could care so little about a patients well being. this is a child. he literally needs these meds to function at school. When my husband has tried asking for help, they refuse him. I've had to call back to address the situation and they help me and have dispensed . I don't know if it's because he doesn't seem as knowledgeable so they ignore him, regardless of the reason, it still doesn't make sense for them to treat customers with the same request differently.

This pharmacy does not notify you when your prescription is on backorder, which is absolutely ridiculous. My daughter needs a certain medication and a few months ago we waited several days thinking maybe her doctor forgot to call it in... after a couple of days of back and forth we found out "oh we dont have it available". You should tell your customers this so they can start looking for it at another pharmacy or other options!! This happened AGAIN yesterday. Its incredibly neglectful and shows they do not care!
Editing to add: i requested a different form of medication since this one is on back order. I waited all day for them to fill a prescription. It’s almost 5 so I called H-E-B to check because she needs it for tomorrow. Of course now they are saying my insurance doesn’t cover this type of prescription. They had zero intention of calling to let me know this. If they would have told me this earlier today I could have called my doctor to get it changed or to have them submit a refill to another pharmacy.
This pharmacy is horrible!!

Pharmacy needs to tell customers the truth instead of lying about coverage! They told me that my prescription, which was ordered 90 day increments to be filled, could only be filled in one month increments due to my own insurance. But I’ve ordered this medication with the same insurance many times and it’s been filled by the same Insurance and pharmacy in 90 day increments (several times). After calling my doctors office to inquire they told me to call back and speak to the pharmacist which I did. I spoke to Latisha or Latifah, whatever their pharmacist’s name was, which was really rude. Then she said it’s a company policy to only fill this prescription in one month increments. I told her that they should probably not be telling their customers lies. After all I’m paying for this medication that’s $1200/month and paid for 95% by the insurance company!!! She got ruder and I tried to inquire about something else, but she hung up on me. needless to say they lost a customer because I’m taking my prescription to the pharmacy down the street that actually fill 90 day increments.

Had a prescription transferred from our usual HEB to this one. The pharmacy tech LEENAH told me that I couldn’t wait at the window while they filled my prescription even though no one was behind me & with the hurricane issues, the HEB parking lot was full. I’m guessing that she doesn’t realize that putting the phone down, but not hanging it up doesn’t prevent me from hearing the disparaging remarks she made about my inquiry as to why I had to leave the drive through area w/ no one waiting. “Just tell her it’s our policy” was said by another unseen person. “Because I said so” is what she said in hushed tones as she mocked & laughed at my plight. Then she purposely put the medication on top of the POS where when the drawer came out it fell to the ground & then laughed & told me to “follow the policy next time”. The other adult in my car was stunned & asked if it’s wheats like this at HEB pharmacy. I was mortified.

Every employee I’ve encountered in this pharmacy has been awesome. No long lines, timely filling of prescriptions & professionalism - they have it all! I have been having trouble with a change of generic pharmacies for one of my prescriptions. They have gone above & beyond to help me. Thank you H‑E‑B!
