The receptionist lacks any customer service skill, no greeting, very soft spoken, and hard to understand through the separating grill and barrier. Also at the time of payment they demanded to know my credit card PIN over the grill. It wouldn’t be a problem if I was allowed to enter the PIN directly into the POS machine. Instead of disclosing my PIN i was given the option to pay in cash. This was inconvenient.

Rooms are spacious, but the doors if not closed a certain way will easily open without keycard. Sketchy people hanging around asking for lifts & money. People smoking so much weed in the rooms that you'll get a contact high. Wife did not feel safe after 2 nights, so we left. Do NOT recommend.

Horrible, my room door didn't lock, I didn't need the key card. Guy, behind the desk, said he would fix it the next day. Never cameNo discount, no refund offer. Nothing. I left my valuables in my car.

I've read the reviews and I'm convinced none of them stayed in room 207. The one directly next to the steel pipe factory that operates 24 hours a day. The workers listen to loud vulgar music and their gas powered forklift seems too not have a muffler. I couldn't sleep from constant metal banging noises. The phone in the room didn't work. So I googled the number and called the front desk to change rooms, they said no rooms available. Hard to believe since the parking lot was empty.

Overall worst experience. The front desk was decent, very stale. When I checked into my room, needing updating big time. Phone was broken, asked for a new one. No iron or board, needing request. The bed was comfy but stained sheets & burns, I physically took off the sheets and slept on my jackets. Smelled like full weed all outside. Towels were also itchy, bring your own towels!! In the end, you get what you paid for. Stay at your own risk. Never will book again. The only plus was the fact it was on Louetta, which meant easy access to anything.

For the price and location, I absolutely loved the hotel. When I walked into my room, it appeared lovely. 15$ extra per night for smoking rooms and although not dog friendly they gratuity allowed both of my service animals without hesitation. After the drive from Colorado, I was knocked out and slept well. Then morning came and I saw the room was not clean and the first roaches I let go because of location, It was Houston... then another one and another one, and it was simply because of not deep cleaning upkeep /maintenance.Deep cleaning has got to happen and they could easily get more better reviews.Rooms: I really loved the hotel overallNearby activities: Smoke shops across the street, and food is in abundance.Walkability: Cool with some scrubs .

If I could rate ZERO stars, I would because a short round faced guy wouldn't even call him a man. He is very rude to his customers. I wouldn't dare spend a dime of my hard earn money at this establishment. They should learn basic keys like respecting others. To save you the headache, don't

This motel is hidden behind a oil change station -- which offers just as many amenities as Palace Inn itself. Avoid this place at all cost, it's a cheap rate for a reason. Unless you're turning tricks, splurge on the extra $20/night or sleep in your car.Wi-Fi and a (mostly clean) bed are about all you get for the stay. The TVs have no remotes; There are no coffee makers in the rooms;Housekeeping comes twice/week (if that);Housekeeping will handle and move your luggage and effects as they see fit;The bedding is dirty, stained, and burned; The towels are filthy; The "breakfast" offered is stale cereal, expired granola bars, and an empty box of donuts; The owner/manager sits in front of the only coffee machine at the hotel (making access difficult);Front desk doesn't answer calls from the rooms;Front desk is frequently away for extended periods of time;Manager/Owner doesn't care about complaints, and said "What do you expect me to do about it?";Manager/Owner has thick accent and poor English, making communication difficult;Manager won't offer even partial refunds -- instead offering additional nights of free stay at the motel. This place has to be a front for human-trafficking and/or drugs; there is no way anyone can be this bad at running a legitimate business.

I'm giving this Palace Inn a 5* rating across the board. It's the only hotel in this exact area & it's, by far, the nicest Palace Inn I've ever stayed in & I've stayed in a few of them.Safety: Located in a very safe area
