Wide selection of liquor and other specialty items. Prices are comparable with other stores offering the same products. I was greeted when I entered the business. Very clean establishment.

Not knowing anything about whiskey because I don't drink but a close friend was having a birthday and loves the stuff, staff member led me to what they thought was best bang for my buck, told me people keep coming back for it, they must be right because everyone at the party raved about it.

Does everyone who works at Spec's hate their lives! The customer service at this store is consistently disappointing. In particular, I’ve had several negative experiences with a young woman named Stephanie, whose name is spelled unusually. Austin, another employee, seems to only ask, “cash, credit, or debit,” and doesn’t engage beyond that. There’s also an older gentleman—possibly named Jim—who comes across as very robotic. I recently interacted with a newer Black lady on staff, and unfortunately, her service matched the others: unwelcoming and detached. I asked if she was knew trying to engage and she looked at me as if I was speaking another language.
The only person I genuinely enjoy interacting with is the slim gentleman with glasses, Kevin, I think is his name, who has a fondness for whisky; he always seems to enjoy his job and deserves recognition.
Returning to Stephanie, I can’t help but feel singled out by her lack of basic courtesy. While I’ve seen her greet and assist other customers, she never acknowledges me when I enter, nor does she ask if I’ve found everything I need or anything. Her “thank yous” are barely audible, and she avoids any eye contact with me usually just tossing my receipt in the bag. This behavior is so blatant that I laugh out loud and often wonder what the issue is.
While this location used to be my favorite, it’s quickly become my least favorite due to these repeated negative experiences. In fact, I’ve noticed a general lack of customer service across several Spec’s stores. Whatever is happening at headquarters, the in-store experience leaves much to be desired. But when you get to be as large as Spec's the obvious details start to get missed! But excellent customer service and providing a welcoming shopping experience should never fall through the cracks.

Asked the cashier for military discount. He said that I had to tell them before he rang it up. I asked if he could cancel and start over and he said no we are not allowed to do that. I almost just walked out. Then he would have had to cancel it anyway. That’s the Last time I will visit that Specs!
