I’ve never banked with Wells Fargo. From the greedy, inconsiderate, unreasonable, and self-absorbed attitude recently demonstrated by the Springtown branch manager, you can rest assured, I never will. This bank lays adjacent to the PUBLIC square where PUBLIC parking spaces APPURTENANT to the square exist. The bank’s customers are welcome to use these to conduct their business, as well as anybody for whatever their purpose may be. They’re PUBLIC! The bank also has a lot on THEIR property and under their control with ample parking.
Supporting a city event/car show I recently pulled in with 6 show cars, generator and canopy and set up adjacent to the bank and was soon told we’d have to tear it down and move move it 100 feet because the bank requested it. Somehow, the bank had the mistaken belief they were entitled to call dibs on and control PUBLIC property, and I’m sure intimidated the city employees into following their asinine and unlawful request. And they were only going to be open another hour. I decided against going in and taking the matter up with the Karen behind this because I was too angry to handle the matter delicately. I had a paid staff and over a half-million dollars in assets out there. I didn’t need to be going to jail.
I own several businesses. I’m not insensitive business needs. There are lots of businesses on the square. To my knowledge none but the Bank have the luxury of having their own parking lot. These other businesses lose ALL their parking when an event on the public square takes place. But they are sensible understand the benefits of being at the center of a small town’s activities comes with some burdens. THEY don’t try to call dibs on what’s not theirs.
Anyway Springtown, this shows how greedy, irrational, and unsupportive this bank’s management is for your community.

If I could Zero I would. This bank is horrible. They originally held my check for 4 days. Went to check my account and it said it was being held for another 4 days. They are holding it for 8 days! They refused to let me talk to a supervisor when I called the customer service. They said this person was unavailable to me. I'll just have to wait.

The older lady with glasses behind the front desk really needs an attitude adjustment, very terrible customer service and very snobby. Don't bank at this location. She's also very persistent about asking where you work.

Warning: Avoid This Business!
I came to this branch in March to close a small business checking account but was told I needed a Certificate of Status. This is normal but I asked if there was anything that could be done about the monthly fees since the business was not generating income nor had any debtors.
Their answer was no.
While dealing with the IRS and the State of Texas to settle the closure, monthly fees continued to deplete my account. Eventually, my account hit zero and overdrafted due to fees.
When I went in to address this, I found out my account had, in fact, already been closed. They explained it should have been put in a 'Business is closing' status to avoid fees.
Wow, if only...
They asked if I wanted the case escalated for review, and I agreed.
This morning, I received an email from Wells Fargo prompting me to register an account to view a message that had already expired the day prior.
Obviously, given their unscrupulous business practices, it makes sense to Wells Fargo to run their customers around, mislead or lie to us, make us register accounts and force us to send emails so WE can attempt to remediate THEIR problems. Far more likely all of this is in the hopes that we will just go away.
The entire experience has been frustrating and poorly handled. Avoid doing business with them!

Its obvious bank employees aren't commission based, and couldn't care less if they get a new customer! New accounts representative turned us away, and didn't even consider going a little bit above and beyond and taking initiative to find out what's going on with our situation...we turned around and opened accounts with bank down the street!

We have used wells fargo for years but this location needs more than one atm. I'm getting so sick of the original being broken down or unable deposit. It drives me absolutely Insane I can't deposit checks and then the store is closed so if you work till 6 your screwed. Then they preach about their online deposit but it takes days before it hits your account.

Joined this bank to send money every month to a friend who had loaned me money who also had an account there. I would go in and transfer cash every month. Then one day I went in and was told policy had changed and I could n o longer do that. When asked why, I was told that I was probably buying drugs and they didn't want to be a part of it. That was crazy. Asked for manager. He said that my friend's account had been inactive except for my xfers. Looked like drugs. I asked for some scissors and cut my card up on the spot and told them to close account. Got a cashiers check and took my business elsewhere.

We have just moved to the area and had a very bad experience at another local bank. We were treated with respect and friendliness by everyone at Wells Fargo. They were very helpful setting up our accounts taking as much time as needed to make sure all was to our approval. Alta was a wonderful person to work with.
