We were loyal customers for over 15 years. I cannot recommend this vet and refuse to bring my pets here ever again. Our family cat was killed by Dr. M. Hobbs on Tuesday, August 22,2023 when it was boarded. She was an 8 year old cat and had been confused with a male, 1 year old stray cat that Dr. M. Hobbs knew personally from his backyard. He even named the stray cat Pete. Both cats were black and white. When asked about the accident he told us he was trying to get it over with and head to lunch. He discovered the mistake after his lunch break and it was too late. He said that our cat had been placed into the other cats cage when the techs were cleaning it. We took our perfectly healthy pet in and entrusted them to keep her alive. Instead, we walked out with a frozen cat in a garbage bag labeled with masking tape and ready to be buried. RIP Dottie

We were driving through Stephenville, after clinic hours, when we realized my little chihuahua was having symptoms of heat stroke, even though he was in our air-conditioned car. We started trying to find an emergency vet and were directed to Ark Veterinary Hospital by some locals at a pet supply store. Even though it was after hours, Dr. Karen Hobbs answered the phone and said she'd wait there for us. She treated my little dog Beau with such care and compassion, ultimately getting him out of danger. She is so thoughtful, caring and a truly talented veterinarian. God truly sent my little buddy an angel that day. I'd recommend Dr. Karen Hobbs and everyone at Ark Veterinary Hospital to everyone!

The time, care and love that Dr Karen Hobbs showed our 9weeknold cane corso went above and beyond . We felt very comfortable leaving our little fur baby here for her procedure . We are very happy and blessed to have such a knowledgeable, talented and loving vet .

You wouldn't think anyone with a DVM could be a moron, but Dr. Karen Hobbs pulls it off. I took my German Shepherd here once for having chronic diarrhea. She ran multiple tests on him and had no idea what was causing it. As soon as she found out I had a cat, she instantly started making the assumption that he was eating cat food. I kept telling her that not only does my dog not LIKE cat food, but the cat food was kept up high where the dog could never reach it. Because she had no other diagnosis, she kept insisting he did it and I "wasn't aware of it," and gave me some anti diarrheal pills and sent me on my way. When they did not work, I took him to another vet who immediately discovered my dog was ingesting the pesticides my apartment used when he picked spilled dog food off the kitchen floor (he is a messy eater). I gave Ark one more chance and took my cat there to be treated for ear mites. They tried to sell me on a WAY overpriced "single dose" treatment, or offered the alternative, a tube of medicine they sold to me. I took the tube. I used the whole thing and my cat still had ear mites. They can't even give me effective medicine. I'm never going back here again. Staff is rude and not knowledgeable. Plus, they sell SCIENCE DIET in their office!! Everyone knows Science Diet is filled with unhealthy by-products and grain and corn meal!! Either the vets here are idiots or they just want to make a quick buck, or both.
