I wrote a review where the other day about my experience on Sunday at the Salon. Michelle the store manager comped my services and assured me that she would put me with another stylist on my next visit. On Tuesday I called to inform Michelle my hair was lifting from Sunday. Michelle was out I spoke to the store manager she said they were short staff and didn’t have anybody to do my hair I said ok. On today while doing my hair a piece of my hair fell out , I have a sew in that’s attached to a net meaning none of the hair should be falling out (see attached pictures below). I called to inform Michelle the salon manager she was very rude and speaking over me she told me that I should find another salon to goto because none of her stylist will be fixing my hair nor will she comp another service . I asked to speak to the store manager she said she’s not available and it doesn’t matter who I speak to she’s the one that makes the finale decisions. I’m now on the phone with JC Penny Corporate filing a complaint on Michelle . It’s no wonder I experienced a bad experience with her stylist as the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with the unprofessional and rude conversation that I had with Michelle this morning the Salon Manager . Everyone has a boss and no Michelle you want be making the finale decision in regards to this hence why I’ve contacted corporate my case number 20241219479630. In my opinion Corporate needs to get rid of Michelle as Salon Manager as she is no help at all with resolving issues.

Ms. Sherrice did a great job, and our granddaughter was thrilled with her hair extensions. She was patient and gentle throughout the process, ensuring our granddaughter was comfortable. Thank you, Ms. Sherrice!

TLDR: Nelo is top notch. Salon under new management with new stylists & excellent service! Nelofar "Nelo" is outstanding. She has been my color stylist for years and I followed her to this salon. She is meticulous in her work and has a very caring personality. I have long, fine wavy hair and color it red - it is very healthy and looks amazing thanks to Nelo. She gives honest, experienced recommendations for at home care. Salon manager Michelle is friendly and professional, and facialist Ashley is also excellent! The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. They style children and men also. Bring the family and get a glow up, then treat yo self and go shopping! PS. FYI Under new management and these low rating reviews are old... come see these ladies and experience for yourself!

I am very shocked when I was charged $85.00 for shampoo and conditioner. I was charged $35 extra for long hair and flat iron wow! I have paid less to have my hair dyed that is what makes it so shocking! I have gone to several salons and even in New York and I never ever paid this to wash my hair. I will never go there again! Please inform clients or have prices posted so we are aware of extra charges. I would have left if I was aware of all these extra charges.Service: Shampoo & conditioning

First time went for my mom and my neice haircut very inexperienced stylist. She had no good scissors took almost 2 darn hours. They had no clue what they doing. She barely cut my neice hair she is 7 mind you and charged $30 more than a adult price. Smh. I need my refund? I suggest ya don’t go there.Service: Haircut

I used to go to this Place years ago back in 2008 and may I say my Hair wasnt that great or Healthy my Mom used to bring me here and once I got Older I stopped going Because these people Broke my Hair off When I went here my Hair wasnt growing Due to the lack of experience plus they cut my hair to much and I had perm damage so Now that I dont go to this place my Hair is more healthy n natural now but in my Opinion if u want hair lost and hair damage and over cutting with the scissors this is the place for u. Thank u God jc penny I dont go to u Clowns no more

This is the worse place to get your hair done. The manager Michelle is not experienced, neither are the stylists. They have subpar products and they damaged my hair consistently. Horrible service with hair color and keratin treatment. These guys should not be allowed to touch hair chemicals, they have no idea on how to use it. Jc penny needs to work on hiring experienced stylist that can really protect and treat the hair.

You are better off cutting your hair at home by yourself than getting it done at the JCPenny Salon. Tanya, their "proclaimed" master stylist cut my hair 3 inches shorter than I asked her to. So, when I questioned her on the length, she stopped her services in between and asked me to leave. The worst was when she said, If you continue to question me like this, you will have to call the police on me because I wont be good then. Imagine a hair stylist threatening to hurt me! The salon manager Marissia comes in and she hears the stylist say those things but ignores. It wasn't until the Asst. store manager, Michelle came in and discussed the issue like an adult. Unfortunately, my hair had been ruined and there wasn't anything that could be done. The salon is a graveyard for your hair.
