A few months ago I went to mcdougal to purchase an embroidery machine. I ended up paying through a payment plan so that I can own the machine. Fast forward to now and I went to get a refund because I no longer was able to pay so I wanted to stop payments get my refund (minus 20%). The store employee said that they do not give out refunds only store credit. In the beginning when I signed the contract I was not aware of that. What sense does it make to have to store credit for mcdogual only?!!!!! The whole point of a refund is that I don't want to purchase anything else. It has been so difficult to get a refund. The owner of this mcdougal has been called twice and refuses to answer the phone! Buyer beware DO NOT BUY FROM MCDOUGAL!!! They will take your money and not give a refund.

Today, Sunday 09/17/2017 we were visiting Houston for a weekend to help out friends and their family lost every thing during Harvey flooded. We stopped by JoAnn fabrics on 16626 SW Frwy. Sugar land, Tx 77479 and want to purchase a sewing machine for the friend's family. Inside JoAnn has a area to display and sale sewing machines. While we were looking and my 6 year old daughter stand next to the display boxes. And there is an old (like 70yo) mean and grumpy short hair white lady came by and told my little girl don't lean by the box. At that moment I thought she was joking but then I realized she just nothing but pure evils mean to a 6 yo. I was waiting to see what else that she will do. I then came to the front customer service and spoke to a young lady and she claimed that she is a store manager (short white blond hair), but unbelievable she also claimed that not part of JoAnn (just another pin point finger and not stand up of reason why they are there)...I do understand most of the JoAnn has it lease space to this mean and evil business that sale sewing machine.
Even though we came to Houston to do a good deed and help out our Houstonian neighbor city during this tragedy. I am hoping folks in the sugar land or Houston area not to support this evil act and shameful from both JoAnn in sugar land and McDougal sewing center.

Excellent place with excellent prices. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have high end machines such as Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff. I got to test drive one of these babies and walked out with my product on the same day. I couldn't be any happier.

Everybody is so friendly and is willing to help and has a smile on their face. They have nice products that don't cost a fortune!! They will service your sewing machine (I have mine in for service right now) and they give you lots of tips! They have a nice cozy building; small and quaint but is so fun for the sewing addicts! Wonderful place!
