Decent place. Price is fair. Lockers could use some updates. Overall, decent place with decent price for diy skating..pro shop is a plus....especially if have own skates that needed sharpening.

Went to the rink for the first time and I had a good experience. The facility and building are older but I was able to navigate it just fine. There wasn't much staff but it was a late publice skate session on a Friday night. There are a lot of negative reviews but for me the rink is good.If I were taking my kids and had them in hockey or figure skating I'd gratitque this place but honestly, I just wanted a late public ice skate session and it was perfect. It was not packed, there was so much room and was relatively quiet. The ice was alright but if you have good and sharp blades I don't think it'll be a issue. The bleachers are pretty old but I didn't smell any mold or see any fog on the rink glass when I was there, but like I said, I'm not going to sitting in them long or looking for rusted items and puddles. In closing, if you want a place to public skate late I think you should give it a try.

I was passing through town and wanted to get a quick skate in. From my brief experience, I can clearly see why this place has so many bad reviews. Prayers for Sugar Land skaters, because this place is more like Mold Land -- gross environment, toxic staff, and requires extermination. It was around 9 am when I came in. Not super early, but no one was working at the ticket window or anywhere else. The only ones there were a sad little girl (I don’t blame her because she has to skate at this dump) and a nice janitor who couldn’t help me because she doesn't speak English.I went to the restroom, assuming that when I came out, someone would be working. So disgusting! Most stalls had unflushed feces/urine, did not have toilet paper, or working locks. The water fountain had semi dried up vomit on it. The floor was bumpy from leakage. Still, no one was working. When the session was about to start, a coach reassured me that it was fine to skate now and pay later. So I proceeded to put my earbuds in and enjoy my ice time as I always did at any other rink. The roof was leaking as I put on my skates and the surrounding smelled like mold.Near the end of my session, an angry woman came to tell me that “I wasn’t allowed on the ice without paying first, and that the coaches didn't like my earbuds.” Well, I tried to pay but I didn’t see you or anyone working at the ticket booth did I? I thought she had a card reader attached to her phone to take my payment, but nope. Her excuse was because the “rink doesn’t pay her.” LOL Why are you even here? And to the music-hating coaches, y’all know that there are sport specific earbuds that have in-ear grip and hear-through mode right? All sounds are AMPLIFIED when I have them on. I can hear my blades ripping and everything. For years, I’ve worn earbuds every single session and never had an accident, not even on a crowded public session. I see your students running into each other and NONE of them have earbuds in. How about you teach them to watch where they’re going instead of me enjoying my practice. Finally, another lady who looked like she just woke up made it to the window and took forever to process my payment. I was charged $24 for an hour of skating. Every other rink charges $12-$15 for 1+hrs. Why are their freestyle sessions only 30 minutes?! And NO discounts even if you bring your own skates?! PURE GREED!I am so glad that I don’t train here. I wouldn’t even come here for a public because the ice quality is below average. Whoever is running this place should be ashamed of themselves, what a disgrace to a beautiful sport.

My family had a blast getting on the rink! I hadn’t skated in like 15-20 years, but it was easy to rent skates and get out there. I only give the building a 4 out of 5 stars because the restroom smelled to high Heaven. It needed a staff to clean it. Since this is a family friendly establishment, it needs to attempt to be clean.

Great staff, very nice. Terrible rink for public skating. They clearly do not resurface the ice before public sessions. This is my second time here, and I’ve tripped twice just in 20 minutes due to cracks in the ice. Also, I’ve seen blood on the ice on my first visit here and now on my second. If they could maintain the ice rink better and make it a safe and quality standard, they would improve so much.

I ice skated here for 7/12 years between the ages of 11-16 and I enjoyed it. I left due to me getting a job at 16 and not able to come to classes. I was going to return in the fall of 2018 but I suffered a severe car accident and the doctor said that if I was to ice skate then I would most likely end up paralyzed from the waste down. If there is one thing I could do, not having a fractured spine is go ice skating.I enjoyed ice skating here the time I had and it was fun. I had a wonderful time and I do wish I could return but I can’t take any chances due to my fractured bones.I give this place 5 stars

Poorly maintained place, they excel at charging money, but when it comes to service, they have a lot of excuses. The whole staff work as a team to mishandle and mismanage. They need to stop such horrible service.

My daughter has been learning skating at this rink for years. The condition of the rink is getting worse and worse since last year and seems like the owner/ operation team doesn’t care about it at all. Paddles and patches on the floor, fogging because of no dehumidifier, water drip from ceiling and mold smell… heart broken to see this place falling apart.

I've been coming to this rink for years. The current owner and operations manager should be embarrassed with the condition of this rink. There's a lot of problems, bad ice conditions, no hot water, fogging due to broken dehumidifier. It's obvious the owner doesn't want to put money into the rink (unless it's from an insurance claim that's taken over 5 years to complete). My problem is major safety concerns that would literally take $5 bolts from the hardware store and 20 minutes of time. The doors have latches that are barely hanging on. Kids play contact hockey on this rink, do you know how badly someone could be injured if these doors open during a collision? Do better. If the current operations manager can't facilitate simple repairs like this, find someone that can.

The worst. Went with my family of 5. $70 later no refund when they gave all their push seals to the birthday party. Party wasn't using them all so I used one for my 3 year old who was enjoying it until someone from the party told us we couldn't use it.

Sadly this place is slowly falling apart. Terrible management that is milking an insurance company for the damages they received from the freeze back in 2021.

My kids played here for hockey and it was like attending homeless shelter dinner. The place is falling apart and you can smell the mold in the air. The sport is already expensive now imagine paying about $21 per game at this decrepit rink. Should've just let it fall apart after the freeze. This is ridiculous. They didn't even stop the game when a kid was hurt. Just an awful experience. Heed my warning and save your money and keep your kid safe. They won't.

The people that own this rink are greedy, overcharging and rude. It’s very obvious the people that own it do not care for the rink and are not willing to make it a better place for skaters and hockey players, it needs to be taken over by someone with an actual passion for the industry.SLICE has been a staple of sugar Land for years, it’s sad to see what it’s reduced to because of greed.

This was a fun evening activity for kids. But its more enjoyable and you stay over an hour if they come with their friends. The public entrance fee differs not according to days of the week but on the no of hours per session. If its public session is for 2 hours it is $12 if 3 or more than the entry/person is $14. They do have ice seals for practicing kids available for rent at $10/piece.
