We booked a boat rental a few days ago for the upcoming weekend. Unprecedented flooding hit the Hill Country and Lake LBJ is currently covered in dangerous debris, loose boats/jet skis, logs, and likely high bacteria levels. We called to cancel the booking and the owner refused to do so stating that the lake is currently open and will be clear by the weekend. Anyone who values their boats and the safety of their patrons would never have said this. It will take weeks for the debris to settle/clear and the lake bacteria levels to be safe to swim in. Very disappointed in this company for being so desperate to make a sale that they put it ahead of the safety of their patrons. They also don’t offer a captain option putting the patrons at unnecessary risk of damaging the boats with the excessive debris.

Georg is a wonderful man (as always) and the whole experience could not have been better. The boat and all equipment could not have been in better shape, and everything ran perfectly. Very prompt, thorough, helpful, and kind. One of our boats had issues when we had a bunch of people over, and so we rented a tri-toon for the day. Could not have been an easier experience, and the value was great. Thanks, Georg!

George is rude and doesn’t know how to talk to people. You would think we were his only customers that day he would be appreciative, he calls my phone screaming and swearing at me also insulting me when I talked to him with respect and not once raised my voice at him. He called me telling me that we damaged his boat and when I went back to speak to him in person to see the damage there was no damage to the boat at all so he went to say that we returned the boat dirty which I offered to clean even though the boat was not dirty he felt stupid about the boat not having damage that he quickly tried to blame us for something else. I would not rent from him again.

My family and I rented a pontoon boat and a tube for 4 hours today to enjoy some time on the water over Labor Weekend. The service was friendly and helpful arriving and departing. We got caught in some crazy wind before a storm blew in cutting our time short. The wind tore up the canopy on the pontoon and we felt so awful that it happened on our outing. When we docked, someone came rushing out to make sure we knew the damage was not our fault and that we did not need to worry about it. He could have easily grumbled or made us feel worse about it, but instead he was more concerned about whether we had a good time before the storm came in. You don’t find that kind of genuine care in very many establishments and, for that, my husband I will always support this business whenever we’re back at Lake LBJ.

Do not rent a boat from here. We paid $600 for 4 hours of a boat that couldn't accelerate properly and was falling apart. The place reeked of smoke and the bathrooms were disgusting. There was dog fur everywhere and the workers were rude and unhelpful. It was cheap, and we regret working through them.

Georg provides the best customer service that I've ever experienced in the Texas Hill Country. Marina has everything you need to launch, have a great day on the water, and return (restaurant, drinks, ice, bathrooms, gas).
Nearby activities: The location of the marina is great. It's a 3 minute ride from a hip-deep sand shelf. Super convenient when taking kids out. Plus the kitchen and store minimize the amount you need to bring with you.

Inadequate staffing and very rude housekeeping. I did not appreciate housekeeping knocking multiple times on my door at 8a reminding me check out was 11. Absolutely ridiculous especially at $350 per night. Food was horrible and dinner service was the worst experience I have ever had.

We rented a boat for the day. It was my first time renting a boat and the staff was helpful and friendly. We had a great time tubing and wakeboarding around Lake LBJ.

Rented a boat online, super disappointed when I got there. All the boats were dirty and trashed. Nice staff, crap boats.

Rented the 24ft pontoon boat and had a blast! Super fast and easy boat rental, we rented it out the day before we needed it online and the owners had the boat ready for us in the morning. The owner was very friendly, next time we come to the lake we will definitely be renting our boat from here! Best bang for your buck in town

We rented a pontoon and a tube for the day, and had the best time! It was the most affordable around that you could tow a tube with which was what we really wanted to do. The tube had come to the end of its life and broke apart when we were using it, but we went back and they switched us out real quick so we could get back to our fun. We will definitely be back for all our boat rentals at this lake. The staff was very nice and helpful!

This is the first time we’ve rented a ski boat from this great team. The boat we reserved wound up having a mechanical issue but Georg and Billy jumped through hoops to find an alternative for us. We have to say these guys did a great job and kept our family vacation on track. We’ll definitely use them again!

I did not stay here, I only came in for a boat repair. I was turned down at another marina because my boat was too old (22 yrs). George, the owner, was super nice, put one of his mechanics on my throttle assembly that came apart, and it was put back together and tightened up in less than 5 minutes, AND they didn't even charge me! He just told me to have a good Memorial Day. I can't speak to the accommodations or the restaurant, but I will definitely give them business the next time I need help.

Boats were capable + no hassle. They do upcharge for gas though ($8/gal in April 2023), so maybe fill up at a different marina before returning it.

Saying this place is a "resort" is a big stretch. It's a lake motel. They do have a service to unload/load your boat which is great & there's a small store/restaurant on site. The rooms smell musty & smokey. They look like the furniture came from garage sales & it's just run down. Not impressed. If you just want a bed, it gets the job done. The signage is confusing.
