Some of the staff were nice but most of them were rude for no reason. The place was not very clean there was a lot of roaches, Roly-polys, and spiders. Some of the rooms (including the one i was in) had no ac and was very hot. The food was okay. The only thing that made this place okay was the friends you made there. Although i didn’t like the environment it did kind of help i managed to stay sober for 4 months but then i relapsed and haven’t been able to stop again.

I was a patient there not that long ago, all I have to say is that the first only good thing about that place is the food, and the lollipops when ever u go in to the nurses, one of the staff, treated me like I was an animal, the rooms are cold and they never even let u know the time of the day, and you literally have to earn your phone calls to talk to family, only twice a week u can call ur family

staff treats the kids like inmates not patients, one guy short with glasses screams at everyone at 5am like its jail. theres alot of kids in there being mistreated i was one of them in 2015 . these people are a danger to kids. they love to fight and inject kids with tranquilizers. if you say no you will be man handled and injected with a shot.

This place is a prison, not a rehab.

They stole $2150 from me. I was told to use their recommended transport company out of Houston, Andrew Taylor and son Jason. They quoted me one price and then requested $500 additional cash the night before they were supposed to pick up my son. They knew he was a flight risk and they did not hold his arm so he ran away then was tackled in neighbors driveway. I'm out $2150 and was told half would be refunded but it has not been. I keep getting told stories by Andrew about him needing more time to pay me back. It's been 5 months. I even called the new director Scott Kelly since Robert Martinez recommended I use "their transport company". I've been taken advantage of and my son never got to attend rehab. This place should be shut down! Email me for video of transport or if you have any questions. Travis County should not recommend this place!

Tried to send Loved one here and Robert Martinez at Shoreline said I could save money and use their recommended transport company, Be Gift Transport out of Houston by Andrew Taylor and son Jason. They were terrible and my family member ran away despite me telling them he was flight risk. They did not restrain or hold arm on way to car and he ran. I paid $2150. I do not recommend Andrew Taylor with Be gift transport. Robert Martinez has been zero help at getting my refund. I keep hearing that I will get paid back but it's been 5 months. I have only requested half of my funds back. This place and these people are a sham.

These people are a scam. Robert Martinez recommend their transport company, Andrew Taylor with Be Gift Transport and they did not professionally or successfully do their job. I think Andrew is giving "get backs" to Robert because they are unresponsive in refunding my money. I paid more with them than other companies and they required all funds in advance. Plus my family member never made it to rehab. NEVER USE A TRANSPORT COMPANY THAT MAKES YOU PAY 100% IN ADVANCE! Complete Rip off and they are clearly in it together.

I was here in 2014? 2015? Maybe 9 months. Aside from the mistreatment from staff, the gruel they fed us from food, I’m surprised nobody mentions the medication saturation of the kids here, the fights and abuse, and weirder than all it was 100% haunted. I got kicked out, but I know that the kids were mistreated then and I’m sure they’re mistreated now.

In my ages are growing up into 1999 I understood about life going through my own program especially education when I walk through these doors it brought me to my own feet and make me realize who I am sometimes the words don't matter of a 85 words to get to level 9 to be a counselor just like the ones that touch y'all into that class when I learn my own way of counseling I knew I could be just like the my teacher to taught me or she was a counselor like many she was young and bright she showed the truth about to be into another facility of a college degrees as a moment of time stepping in I knew I could be or I could be in the written of oath of understanding to get up and to understand the real knowledge of rehabilitation centers as she spoke to me in many ways to counsel the truth I seen the image of her that taught me how to recover myself of addictedness towards others as I know my age was very young but I grew up knowing the teachers or teachers like Anna the Russian I seen in a movie it looks like her dad with the Mohawk...

definitely one of the worst treatment centers i’ve ever been to. staff are sorude. i was there for 6 months. andrea the counselor was so disrespectful to us and treated us like we weren’t human beings. jen (supervisor of girls unit) would get in my people’s face. and be unnecessarily disrespectful and rude. staff would tell residents business toother residents. it’s so dirty in there. dirty bathtubs and and roaches. the grievances aren’t looked at all. you’ll put in a grievance and they will disregard everything you said. as a child dealing with addiction definitely not a place to send your child to get “help” do NOT send your child here.

I was court-ordered here in 2018 for THC. Today I decided to actually look it up and found the website to be hilarious. I'm not sure if its changed at all since I've been there, but my experience was nothing like the site portrays. It was infested with cockroaches and had damp, mildew laden ceilings that had caved in during the middle of the night. I think I remember hearing that insurance was covering about 30k of my 35 day stay, and yet the place seemed to be running off of boxtops. I never saw any of the facilitates besides the cafeteria, tv room, and library - all of which reminded me of a lousy day care. We only went outside once, and usually would just walk circles around the hallways for an hour. The food (and iced tea) was delicious, and I found the staff to be friendly and supportive enough, but few at times could be a little harsh or judgemental. I was taken to the doctor onsite there a couple of times, and the first time I ever walked into the room he instantly said "acne" and wrote down a prescription that I later found out was $400. I was also given quite a few random pills that were for 'sleeping' but it felt like a strong drug - I'd end up drooling while awake and at night would have the most intense nightmares. I saw a few other reviews that mentioned 'overmedicating' and I completely agree, there was something shady going on with their healthcare system. Debbie was my councillor, and she handled my particular situation with a genuine 'realness' that is extremely hard to come-by in therapists. Her office was the only room I liked because she had it filled to the brim with fun, colorful things which made me feel comfortable. Besides Debbie, there was really no other helpful resource or therapy offered. We would have an "AA meeting" occasionally, which was really just us reciting the rules and then MAYBE discussing how to write a resume. There were some fun events thrown by the staff for occasions such as a birthdays or Fourth of July, and we were able to feel entertained with wii/puzzles/cards/movies frequently. It seemed like the staff were severely underpaid, especially for the responsibilities they had. They also lacked a range of professionals, as I was never once evaluated by a psychiatrist or other trained person. It seems like all the money is being funnelled straight to the top, and the people below are the ones who have to cover it up. I'm about to graduate university with a biology degree, and am much better off than where I was in 2018. Shoreline is definitely not a good place for proper rehabilitation, but they did provide me with a space to cool down and get away from the messiness which is probably exactly what I needed to keep living. So if you're thinking of sending your kid here, just know it used to be a severely under-funded day care that pays 20 year olds $14 an hour to 'reshape' your struggling kid.

Still can’t believe this place is open. I was there back in 1999. Female staff were sleeping with the teenage boys. We hardly ever had privacy and they would literally check every single items of ours while we weren’t in the room. Staff acted more childish than the teenagers that were there. Some staff were polite and the once who were got fired immediately.
