Misleading Stock Info Cost Me Time and Money
I called McCoy’s Building Supply twice today to confirm they had the item I needed. Both times, staff assured me they had five in stock. I drove 45 minutes from home and rented a 16-foot trailer for the day, expecting a smooth pickup.
When I got there, they repeated the same info, so I went out back to load it—only to discover they had none. I then had to return to the counter for a refund, which they said would take 2–4 business days to post.
While the staff was polite, the incorrect stock information caused me wasted time, effort, and extra cost. I hope McCoy’s improves their inventory accuracy so future customers don’t experience the same frustration.

Worst customer service I have experienced. I walked up to the counter and asked Ray about some wood and his response was “ I don’t know , I don’t build houses “ he kept answering with an attitude.

Had an exchange I needed to complete and arrived at the store 2 minutes after closing. The manager let me complete the exchange anyway and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Much better experience than driving to Hutto for one of those other stores!
