To add some context I have been a Cricket customer since 2009. Meaning I have seen the demographics of this particular location change over time. Today will be the last time I patronize this location. The sales people don't seem all that interested in helping or making their sale. For example when I went in three sales people were in the store only one gave us a greeting and one lady literally sat on a box playing with her phone within line of sight of customers the entire time I was in the store. Then the salesperson who did assist me, let me leave without purchasing the phone that I wanted because I asked for the rebate that I was duely owed for my contract type. Cricket has given up many perks since being acquired by AT&T it seems that the A1customer service has finally gone too.

After 20 years with Verizon i decided to try Cricket. I went into a store at 1225 S. 31st St in Temple, Tx. The young girl was very nice. I checked out their phones and i decided on one. They did not have a very good selection. Only about 6 or 7 phones if that. I asked if the phone had a case and she said no. I decided to get the phone. The young girl asked me what my password was and i didnt say anything because there were people around me. Then she said it louder Sir what is your password. So i gave it to her because i would change it after I would leave there. I ordered my insurance for phone. I wasnt impressed with it but very terrible selection. I told her i wanted the 30.00 plan, she said with the phone i have i am not allowed to have that plan. Later on a nother worker came in and told her i could have that plan. She wanted me to take a 50.00 plan and even that came with extras i would have to pay. Anyway, i did get the 30.00 plan and left. The next day i went to the VA hospital for an emergency. While in the ER my phone was stolen by a nurse. I saw the nurse and the phone. She was trying to get into it but couldnt. When i asked to see her phone she got up and scurried away. The Drs released me a few hours later. I went directly to Cricket at 1225 S.31St i asked the same young lady to turn off my phone so i didnt get any long distant calls. She replied i cant do that until you buy a new phone. I asked her if she was crazy. I told this kid i dont need to buy a phone i had ordered the insurance. I said if someone steals your phone its common sense to turn off the phone. I was so angry at her for being a twit that I left. The next I returned and the little girl said i was told by my boss i could of shut the phone off. She then handed me a cheap 78 or 79.00 phone. When i got home i went to write about the phone to Cricket personnel but the computer kept telling me all the information was wrong. Long story shirt this employee put the stores zip code in instead of mine. I went in the next day told her i would like to buy a more expensive phone she said sure i can give you a deal. For 200.00 you can go up to the next level. I said well i spent about about 125.00 for phone then 80.00 for other phone she said no the first phone was only 75.00. (If it was 75.00 and she gave me a cheap phone, none of that made sense. My son called me on the phone and left a message. Cricket erased the message it said after certain amount of time messages will be taken off. Then when i talked to Cricket they said we didnt remove it. My son was in Military and died had to go out to Ca to funeral. I asked Cricket to put my sons last words to me and the lady said sorry your son was killed but we cant put message back. I am so disappointed with Cricket. If you all have messages from loved ones who were killed better have them go to another company so you dont miss their last words. Cricket is good for price but not really for their phones. I found an excellent Cricket in Waco, TX The young lady was Super. Go there they are a 5 star store (Boy say that real fast 3 times) Anyway, thats my story. I dont know how long the young lady worked at the store where i had to use insurance get another phone. She was young and i realuze we all make mistakes. If she wasnt trained then its not her fault. I am hoping she has done better with the job. I wish her the best.

We switched service from Boost Mobile to Cricket and I believe their service is better.
