Emporium Packaging & Spice Co. is a hidden gem located just around the corner, past the VA and Temple College. This little place has a lot of heart and offers absolutely fabulous spices, as not all spices are created equally. They hand roast all the spices in their everything seasoning except for the salt. Visitors will find all sorts of fresh spices and mixtures to sample and buy, including vanilla items like vanilla beans, paste, and Mexican vanilla. The shop also sells mixes, fresh peanut butter candies, delicious little pumpkin muffins, a delish spice tea mix, aprons, shirts, and children’s books. The staff is very helpful, super friendly, and will answer any questions with great cooking ideas. The customer service is awesome, with staff who clearly love their job, offering the friendliest service ever. They do offer a military discount. It is easy to order over the phone, and they have the best prices. Be careful on certain days when they are mixing the hot spices in store, as your senses will be triggered. Support local and stop by this place; you won’t be disappointed.
