Stephen Torres the Service Advisor went above and beyond to help me when I had car trouble far from home. Stephen and his team were courteous and helpful and did not charge me to look at my tires while I was worried I had a flat over an hour from my destination. I offered to pay him for his time and he said it was unnecessary and that I was good to go. It has been a few weeks and I finally have time to say THANK YOU to Stephen and his team for helping me (and my pup) while we were quite worried on a road trip and had no where to go. I highly recommend Stephen for his integrity and professionalism. Human to human, thank you!!!

The experience that we had with Gerber Collision was one of the worst experiences that we have had with any body shop to date. When our van was damaged during the May tornado we knew that repair times could take awhile as there were thousands of vehicles that were damaged. The initial repairs took roughly 3 months to complete due to national back orders etc. We understood this amount of time again due to the massive influx of damaged vehicles locally and nationwide. During the first month communication was great but quickly faded to next to nothing. Any updates that we received we had to call the collision center. Annoying but not a deal breaker. We were able to pick our van up after about 3 months with us knowing that we would have to bring the van back to finish repairs due to parts not available at that time. Roughly 2 months later we scheduled to bring the van back and have repairs finished as well as having the front bumper painted which was not covered under insurance. We were told and expected a 3 day turn around for this repair. During this time we were provided with a rental car which was an awesome gesture on their behalf. These repairs did not take 3 days and during this time we again were not given any updates unless we called or went in person. We were told for almost a week straight that the glass company is coming and your van will be done tomorrow. When this week had passed I went in person to get an update. Michelle who was working with us for most of the time was incredibly rude and short with us and continued to give us the same excuse of the glass company is coming tomorrow and then it’ll be done. She offered no apologizes and seemed offended that we came in person to ask about our car when we were given little to no info regarding our car. I also find it interesting that a collision and glass center does not have any glass techs on the payroll. So if you have a glass need dont let the name fool you. When we went to pick up Duke the GM met us and showed us the finished vehicle. He did offer us an apology and seemed genuine. He acknowledge the shortcomings in communication. However, our front bumper was not painted as we had expected it to be. Michelle had given us the quote for paint and we confirmed the bumper was to be painted at drop off. Not only did it take almost 2 weeks for a rear life gate to be replaced, our bumper was not painted as we requested. Duke stated he had no clue about the bumper which leads us to believe that Michelle yet again failed to do her job and communicate clearly with the customers and her team. I had a hard time believing some of the others reviews of Gerber but I can promise you, these negatives reviews are real. Do not expect clear communication, do not expect professionalism from Michelle and do not expect your vehicle to be done in a timely manner if you chose to use Gerber Collision in temple.
One final note: Lola was amazing and she is the only shining star on that team.
*edit after owner response
It seems like we received the same generic copy and paste reply that others have received. This shows how insincere the company is as they can’t take the time to craft a genuine reply to their “valued customers” . I also want to note that I was not contacted by Lloyd and have never heard that name being associated with gerber collusion of temple.

Huge waste of time. I made an appointment here for an insurance estimate about 3 weeks ago. They managed to lose my estimate despite telling me they were going to email it out the same day of my appointment. When my insurance and I never received the email, I followed up over the next couple weeks, and I was always told that they would take care of it, on top of various excuses. It never happened, and after waiting for several weeks, I’m now being told that the estimate was lost and I now have to completely start over the entire process. I am very frustrated with both the lost time and complete lack of communication, and I will not be returning.

Don't waste your time. Recommend by our insurance and got the vehicle inspected by them. They managed to lose the estimate and NOT send it to my insurance. Went back and forth for weeks. Ended up just wasting my time.

This place was a complete waist of my time. Waited over a week for an appointment to get an estimate to fix my truck. The day comes and I have to wait in the lobby an extra 20 mins only for the guy to look at my truck for 2 mins and then tell me he does not think I have the money to fix it and he does not want to waist his time.

Took it to them because I was in a car accident and they were in network with Progressive. When I got the car back after a month, the door wasn’t plugged in so the lock/unlock buttons didn’t work. The mirror came off and the head light needed to be adjusted. Very minor issues that were slightly over looked. They “fixed” the issues. I got it back the same day and immediately noticed the mirror wasn’t set properly. It’s hitting the bottom of the frame so I can’t adjust it. The manager told me it wasn’t really his fault and that they would only repair it if I paid for it. My insurance cut them a check for the part. But let’s talk about the door panel that was forced closed. My clips are broken. All around the panel it’s open. But hey that’s not the worst thing. I thought I had an oil leak. Nope I took it to get its oil changed and they told me that my filter fell out in the undercarriage because it wasn’t tightened correctly. My undercarriage has an oil spot from where it pooled. You think that’d be it. Nope. There’s thermal tape on the end of the coolant system that they fixed. Also my turn signal light fell out and the spark plug now need to be replaced or reconnected. Like lord. What am I supposed to do with this?

The ladies are great who worked with me and were really professional. 5 stars for them.
However, my car was in the shop for over 40 days because of my insurance reps and I received it with 500+ miles extra without proper intake photos. Also gas light on and tire pressure lights. Will need to go back to them as now someone told me my brake light is out too. Would assume a multi point inspection prior to pick up. Unclear on all the mishaps but I assume very busy shop and some oversights.

Disappointed. This place completely wasted my time. The lady at the front desk said that there wasn’t anyone there to look at hail damage but she was willing to get me scheduled for repairs. Like why would I do that without an estimate? Mind you, I set the appointment up online weeks ago and left a detailed note about why I was seeking their services. For some reason though she isn’t able to see that. Just say you don’t want my business. Not to worry, I will never be back.

Gerber was an approved shop for SF insurance. I called several other locations without success and decided to call Gerber. The receptionist was very polite from the start. Was able to drive my vehicle there for estimates etc so that made it easier for my situation.Everyone at this shop was very friendly and professional! I also noticed how clean the parking lot and shop areas were. Collision Manager was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable in selecting this shop. (They have a ton of work coming in everyday but don’t make their new customers feel like another number.)Updates were sent on time regarding repair status. Upon completion, my vehicle looked awesome. I was really happy with the results. My overall experience was excellent. Can’t say enough about the overall professionalism, including the technicians.I highly recommend Gerber. Don’t waste your time or stress out searching up and down the approved list. Call Gerber, get your vehicle there, and let them get to work. Hope this helps your experience!

Gerber is an A+ body shop. The people that work there are so kind and helpful. Naturally, an accident is upsetting, and the folks there helped me along the way to get the service I need. I totally recommend Gerber to you.
