I don’t like giving anything less than five stars on Google reviews but my experience with Jackson Hewitt was less than ideal. I am happy I was able to get a tax extension through Jackson Hewitt but it came with complications. I realized I needed to get a tax extension on Tax Day and my mother took me to Walmart to visit a Jackson Hewitt booth inside of Walmart. While in line, we saw a Jackson Hewitt number that solicited for people to call the number if they needed a tax extension. I called the number and requested an extension and paid for the extension by providing my credit card number and also providing my social security number. I asked for email confirmation for the extension. Later that afternoon, I got an email confirmation that spelled my name wrong, was missing an official email letterhead, and did not look legitimate but like a scam email. This caused me to panic given that I have been subject to spams and identity theft in the past and we went back to the Jackson Hewitt booth that evening. While on the way to Walmart, I got a call from someone purporting to be a Jackson Hewitt agent but I was unsure whether I should trust the person given the suspicious email confirmation I received. I was so stressed that I had to give the phone to my mother to finish the call while we waited in line to talk to a Jackson Hewitt representative at Walmart. The person over the phone ensured that it was a legitimate transaction and we later got confirmation from the Jackson Hewitt representative at Walmart that the transaction was legitimate. I highly recommend that the email confirmation form be reorganized and polished to ensure that persons do not assume that the email is a scam. While phone confirmation may be the norm, email confirmation may be requested by a customer who is giving sensitive information over the phone. On a positive note, I am happy that Jackson Hewitt provided the option of filing a tax extension at a cost lower than other services providing tax extension services.

The young lady that did my taxes was very proud and very curiously she did a great job very efficient she did a great job.in my opinion she was a very person and nice excellent job.

Kudos to the friendly and professional staff of Jackson Hewitt, Killeen on Lowe's Blvd. Although Karin does not work in the Killeen office, she always takes the time to accommodate her customers in Killeen. She is top notch. I also had the pleasure of working with Josh who was also very kind and professional. Thank you guys for another stress free tax year.
