I went to renew my yearly loan. This year was not for extra Christmas money but to get slighter higher loan to take a cruise for my 70th birthday which is in Dec. I arrived at the bank at 10am. A loan mgr. took info. and said it would have to go to mgrs. upstairs. She told me to leave as it could take 20 min. to 2 hrs. The call back was at 12 30pm. I was told I could not get approved for $200 extra. She said she was putting the loan together and would be the same amount as last year. She said once she had the loan ready I could sign on line and email papers back to the bank. I got emails starting at 4pm. My download was 2 pages of info. and nothing to sign. I called and let them know and was on the phone with someone for over 20 min. that couldn't find a mgr. to talk to me. I was emailed 3 different codes that didn't work. I got 2 texts saying use the last 4 of your social that did not work. At 4 30pm I got desperate when 3 different long pin codes didn't work and then she started texting me to just use the last 4 of my social. I got kicked out of my account doing all of these. I swiftly walked to the bank at S. 1st St. The mgr. I originally applied with said she would need authorization from the mgr. upstairs to get a code. I had spent the day hearing, "no", can you hold for a minute(s)" getting no results and " I'm sorry". I became verbally overwhelmed and just put my foot down as it drew near 5pm and said I am not leaving until we get this finished today as I needed to make a payment to the cruise line that day. The loan mgr. said "if I was so upset over this loan that maybe it would be better if I just cancelled it." What a dirty dig like dangling a carrot in front of a horse. I told her not to go there with me. I said I want to speak to your mgr. and get his email address. A person came over saying she was the mgr. but handed me a card with a male name on it, Bill Alford. I started venting on facebook, yelp. They kept the computer screen turned so I couldn't read it saying it was for privacy. It was about me and I wanted to know but she kept it the same. Anything about the loan I had to ask about. There were pages of reading I had no idea what it said and she put my signature in for me when needed. I had no idea what I was being signed to. I was offered nothing. I started posting on facebook and yelp only to find yelp has a one out of 5 star for reviews. The loan mgr. told the female mgr. what I was doing. When I finally had papers in my hand 10 minutes after they had closed the mgr. said as I was going out the door in a condescending voice, "You have a nice day." Then she said, "oh you can also make a complaint at the BBB about us too." I said it was next on my list. These are mgrs. that went out of their way to aggravate and escalate an already tense situation. I will be moving my account and my son is moving his business account. It is so unfriendly. No one looks at you or greets you. You have to ask a teller if they are available as they are open but not looking at me. Sara is the only good teller. I am sad that elderly customers on fixed income are treated so poorly as we are the ones keeping them employed. No one has tried to reach out to me as state by the business mgr.

Been with Texell for a year now. The staff is always friendly and helpful! They helped me with my first auto loan and credit card where my old bank that I had been with for 10 years (1st Convenience) wouldn't. Glad i made the switch!

Been with Texell for years. Always good. I recently had business with Texell with George Garcia. He was So very nice, explained everything clearly. He listened, he cared. Process was Easy and Quick and he was Great! Another thing that made him stand out was the smile and had great eye contact. That is important to me too.

I cannot express how Great it is to work with Alyssa Kerr and Texell Credit Union! We recently moved from our community bank to the Credit Union! We brought over 3 loans with us, condensed into 1 loan and lowered interest rate without extending term, and it only took 24 hours to complete the process! Then we turned around and bought a new vehicle, process took literally 7 hours and we bought the vehicle out of Texas. I recommend Alyssa to anyone! And Texell Credit Union, keep doing what you do, the people of Central Texas need you!

The buyer of my vehicle choose this place, I did not. They mailed the payoff amount to the wrong address for my credit union. My credit union received the payoff amount 21 days later. Obviously my payoff was now higher then the amount sent. After speaking with Melody in the loan processing department who is a manager, she repeatedly tells me they wont issue another check for the difference even after acknowledging it was their mistake sending the payoff to the wrong address. The incompetence and lack of care is what stands out. Mind you, the title they are waiting for, for the loan they provided their client will be delayed in this whole process. The whole communication was rude and unproductive even after she acknowledged it was their mistake.Save yourself the trouble and literally find any other credit union to work with, these people are careless and incompetent.

Texell CU is #1 They have the best interest rates for loans PLUS their credit and debit cards earn you cash back. I've been with Texell for a very long time and I love my Texell. Great staff and always excellent customer service.

I have received nothing but great customer service here. Alyssa Kerr (Financial Services Specialist) at the downtown branch in Temple is extremely helpful. She assisted me with getting my accounts opened and the approval of a credit card. If you are looking for a credit union or are interested in switching to another financial institution, this is THE ONE!

I have been using Texell since 2005 for all my banking needs. I have had several loans with them. I like the automatic paymentsfor my loans. The application for a loan is easy. They listen and care about serving their customers. I also enjoy using their app on the cell phone for managing my accounts and keeping track of all my money. I always have a great experience at the downtown Temple Texell Branch. All of the staff are very friendly and cooperative. One of the financial specialists, Alyssa Kerr, was straightforward and informative, and she really set me up for success in my credit-building journey.
